Hi ALANA, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I began my career as an electrologist over 30 years ago, and I’ve come to realize that most people under the age of 40 don’t even know what that is. Yet for more than three decades, I have successfully treated thousands of clients with unwanted hair using a method that is safe and effective for all hair colors and all skin types. Electrology is the original “laser alternative” a scientifically proven hair-removal technology that has existed for over 150 years and is FDA-approved for permanent results.
After spending this much time in the hair-removal field, I recognized a major gap: countless people are simply not candidates for laser hair removal. So I focused on solving that problem. Today, with our multi-probe galvanic approach, we can eliminate unwanted hair in 18–24 months without endless touch-ups, without lifetime maintenance, and without the limitations of laser.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road. Getting the message out to the public that there is a solution if you’r not a laser candidate has been challenging. Opening a second location in Dallas, TX while commuting to Beverly Hills once a month was exhausting as well, but totally worth it! Among the most recent challenges, inventing and developing a hair removal device is very costly, and finding the right team is not a simple task either.
