Hi Albina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was originally working from home, when a couple of friends from the apartment building, I was living in asked me to watch their pets. I loved it so much, and it really ignited my passion for taking care of animals. I really loved that I could help people, while also getting to make a new furry friend every week!
After a while, word got around, and more and more people started asking me to walk/care for/play with/watch their pets! I really loved the opportunity, and it gave me a lot of practical animal-care experience.
Now that I’m no longer in an apartment building and have much more space and a yard, I would love to get to watch more animals, and I know that I can give the animals that I watch a much better, fuller experience.
I’ve really loved all the furry friends that I’ve made so far, and I hope to make many more!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Luckily, taking caring of and loving these animals comes so easily to me, so I would say that it has been a relatively smooth process.
I’ve been very fortunate that all of the pet parents of the animals I watch are always happy, so they’ve always been very helpful in telling people about my services and helping me find more customers and pets!

PuppWatch is my small business for loving and taking care of peoples’ pets.
Whether it’s for short periods of time, like one or two days, or for extended stays, like a week or more, I am always happy to have these furry friends stay with me.
I offer a much more attentive and personalized experience than commercial animal boarding companies. When I watch these pets, I always make sure that they are constantly stimulated. We go on walks together, play, and spend time outside. I also offer bathing and brushing!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Obviously, it helps to be able to network and talk to people, which has certainly helped me to be able to reach out to more pet owners and get the word around about my business.
But, without a doubt, the most important characteristic of my success has been… LOVE! I make sure to give all of the animals I care for as much love and attention as possible so that they are always engaged, entertained, cared for, and happy. Any pet parent that leaves their little family members with me can always know that they are in the best possible hands.
