Alyssa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello, my name is Alyssa Moore and I am the creator of Aura Amoôre! After years of being a consumer of beauty and skincare products, I became aware of the importance of what goes into and onto my body. Your skin is the largest organ of your body and it absorbs everything that it contacts. Whatever you put onto it goes directly into your bloodstream.
The deeper that I tapped into the skincare community, the more conscious I became of this fact. When we buy products at local department stores, we usually purchase solely off of brand recognition opposed to their ingredients and health values. Name brand companies often have harmful chemicals disguised in their ingredients, which affect our overall health the longer that we consume it.
After creating organic skin and body care products for myself, I took the initiative to create a brand that would incorporate 100% natural ingredients, as well as tapping into the zero waste community. Our purpose is to leave our customers feeling confident, beautiful, and empowered!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey up to this point has been smoother than what I expected it to be. Thankfully, I have previous knowledge of creating an entity from forming my nonprofit, The Ascender’s Touch in 2018.
Due to the differences between the two entities, I am aware that new challenges will come along as a business owner. I am buckled in and ready for the ride!

Aura Amoôre is a 100% organic, cruelty-free skin and body care company. This company was founded on the ideals of empowerment and inspiration. Today, I still believe and operate my business based on those ideals. Aura Amoôre is passionate about transforming lives through the art of skin and body care. We all come in different shades and sizes; nevertheless, all of us deserve to feel loved in every form possible!
We currently sell three signature unisex items, which include the following: Original Shea Body Butter which is made with Organic Shea Butter and 100% Frankincense Essential Oil. Perfect for those with sensitive skin.
Lumi Lux Body Butter which is made from Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Cocoa Butter and Lemon Butter. It is also infused with 100% Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil. Stress Relief Sugar Scrub is made from Pure Granulated White Sugar, Coconut Oil, Natural Lavender Buds and Pure Lavender Essential Oil. Both Body Butters are whisked to perfection before the bottling process begins. This technique is key to our operations and you will instantly feel the difference!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Community-building! Throughout the journey, one of the most important aspects of growing a business is building with like-minded individuals and brands within your community!
I am a big advocate of uplifting others around me and vice versa! The more that my company grows, the more that I want to partner with other businesses for us to help elevate each other.
