Like most entrepreneurial journeys, it hasn’t been a perfectly smooth road—more like a winding path with a few detours. When I started Atomic Accounting, one of the biggest challenges was earning trust in a highly competitive industry. Businesses in Dallas already had accounting options, so I had to clearly communicate how Atomic Accounting was different: personalized attention, technology-driven efficiency, and a focus on building long-term relationships rather than just completing transactions.
Balancing Atomic Accounting with Tone Films, my Dallas video production company, also came with its own challenges. Running two businesses meant mastering two very different worlds—finance and creativity—while making sure neither compromised on quality. There were times when deadlines overlapped, or when a tax-season crunch collided with a major video production project.
I also faced the classic entrepreneurial hurdles: learning to delegate, building the right teams, and staying resilient when unexpected challenges—like market shifts or economic uncertainty—threatened to slow momentum.
