Bay’s Almost Home Pet Resort began in 2021 with a single goal: provide calm, fear-free care in a space where pets felt safe and understood. Operating out of a small room attached to our home, we focused on individualized routines, stress reduction, and earning trust one family at a time.

As demand grew, we expanded thoughtfully—adding additional pet condos and refining our daily systems, safety protocols, and documentation. Each phase of growth was guided by hands-on veterinary experience and a commitment to quality over capacity.

Over the following years, Bay’s Almost Home evolved into a professional pet resort offering structured boarding and daycare, supported by clear operational standards, staff training, and industry best practices. We are members of IBPSA, Fear Free Certified, and Pet CPR & First Aid certified. Education is a core foundation for our pet resort.

Today, Bay’s Almost Home Pet Resort stands as the result of steady, intentional growth—built through persistence, community trust, and an unwavering focus on animal welfare.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building Bay’s Almost Home Pet Resort came with challenges that required patience and persistence. Starting in a limited space meant carefully controlling capacity, often turning families away to protect the quality of care. Growth brought additional hurdles, including navigating zoning regulations, managing rising construction and operating costs, and expanding responsibly without compromising animal welfare or safety standards.

There were also long hours and the constant responsibility of caring for pets as if they were our own. Each challenge required thoughtful planning, stronger systems, and clear documentation. Those obstacles ultimately shaped Bay’s Almost Home into a more intentional, resilient, and professionally run pet resort.

Bay’s Almost Home Pet Resort is a professional pet boarding and daycare facility built around one core belief: pets deserve care that prioritizes safety, emotional well-being, and individualized attention. We specialize in low-stress, fear-free care with structured routines, private accommodations, and thoughtful enrichment. Our approach is informed by hands-on veterinary experience and a deep understanding of animal behavior, allowing us to care for pets not just physically, but emotionally as well.

Looking ahead to 2026, Bay’s Almost Home Pet Resort is focused on some major improvements that elevate comfort, privacy, and enrichment. We are adding private outdoor yards to our existing condos, making each stay fully private and personalized, while also expanding with three additional condos to better serve our growing community without sacrificing quality of care.

We are also upgrading our doggy daycare yards to improve flow, safety, and engagement, and expanding our enrichment offerings to better support mental stimulation and emotional well-being. These plans reflect our continued commitment to thoughtful growth, animal welfare, and providing an experience that feels as close to home as possible.
