Exploring Life & Business with Billy Kilgore of DFW Strategic Connections and 7-Fold Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Billy Kilgore.

Hi Billy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am originally from Louisiana. I Graduated from Southern University in the fall of 1988. I move to far north Dallas in 1990, with the expectation of conquering the world, like any recent college graduate full of energy. Reality quickly set in when I found that I needed to be established in order to establish myself, so with that in mind, I decided to go to a local church in Carrollton called Covenant Church. (At The Time It Was Called Faith World) After being at the church for a few years I decided to try myself at becoming a life group leader. The purpose of a life group leader is to connect and bring people together so they would not get loss or abandon. My Group grew from 3 to 300. I was then promoted to Regional Cell Group Leader. I stayed in this role for 5 years. This experience revolutionized my thinking and career path.. I finally found the blueprint that I needed to be successful. Individuals around at the time called me the gather. I decided to use the blueprint that made me successful in an MLM and I recruited 250 individuals and got promoted to Executive Director. Although I did not stay in this role long, it impacted the way that I would maneuver in the future. I took an interest in Social Media and from there I was discovered and asked to work on a Project with Jimmy Porch called Flaunt The Ultimate Social Experience. The goal of this group was to create four quarterly events a year for Dallas’s Professional Crowd. Our Events were always Professional and at the time average of attendance was right around 1500. Our Events were always glamorous and unique. From there I made Who’s Who Black Dallas on Two occasions. I also was humbled and honored to be invited to be the Duke of Dallas during Mardi Gras. By this time everyone were referring to me as The Connector. I was blessed to have an high energy and I was a people magnet. I decided to focus on starting a couple of businesses. First I Started 7-Fold Marketing which focusing on Social Media Marketing. I would work for a Company called Cinsay where I was the Department Manager. The second company that I started was DFW Strategic Connections. Here I decided to bring together the Business Elites of DFW for Synergistic purposes. In addition to Hosting Events Monthly around Dallas and hosting at familiar places like Hotel W, Winesomeprime, Grandscape and many others, We were able to establish a brand that not only benefited the network mixers, but also the community.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Sure, it has not been a smooth road because My expectations were so high, and as I heard once, the biggest room in the world is the room for improvement. The thing here was to learn

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about DFW Strategic Connections and 7-Fold Marketing ?
Well the first thing that comes to mind when mentioning what I am proud of the most would be bringing individuals together so that they can communicate and connect with people that they can benefit from and that they can help.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My father was Military (Navy) so I used to love traveling (Domestically) and seeing those Gray Ships. I used to love the Military Bases and spending time at the Commissary and the Exchange.
