Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Weerstra.
Hi Brian, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We are the Weerstras – Brian and Lauren. Lauren is a Midland native that found her way to this part of the state after attending Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Brian grew up in Michigan but is so glad to have made it to Texas as soon as he did! Brian grew up immersed in the construction and mechanical world with his family ties to a commercial maintenance company and a luxury custom home builder on the coast of Lake Michigan. After his career as a first responder in the Fire Service, EMS, and as a Law Enforcement Officer, the construction world began to call his name. Brian answered that tug of entrepreneurial spirit and Premier Property Resources was born.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey as small business owners have been an exciting one. From starting small and running the business part-time as a retirement plan, it has grown into a full-time partnership between Brian and Lauren, who both have left other full-time careers to build the business together.
