Today we’d like to introduce you to Bridget Robinson

Hi Bridget , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Well August 17th 2024 will be a decade that I’ve been here in Fort Worth when I moved here it was rocky start but I’m still here I’m originally from Birmingham Alabama moved here with a goal and dream and I’m conquering it ! When I first moved found myself homeless for 3 months till I found my apartment I’m in today! Later I found myself divorced going to cosmetology school because I wanted to make a big change for my now 16 year old son! It was a struggle I attended one school closed after I was at 1,000 hours then had to go finish at a another college no transportation had to take transit every day would go to school all day from 9am-8pm to finish school but I finished!!! I ended up sharing a suite with my classmate that didn’t work well it became too much so I decided to work in Dallas it was too much was working so hard to where I fell asleep at the wheel that was a eye opener for me I ended up totaling my car but I’m still here nobody but GOD!!! Later I ended up getting another suite was doing very well then boom The pandemic the salons were shut down we couldn’t do anything so while at home I came to the conclusion you got to make some money I started selling clothes on Facebook I bought a wholesale pack and I sold out immediately!!! I wasn’t looking to keep going but people kept asking for more so I turned my hustle to a online boutique 2020 as of right I’m still at it !!! When the doors opened back up I was back to work everything was good but later in 2021 found out I was pregnant it became too much I had a high risk pregnancy so I couldn’t work as much so I ended up loosing my salon suite!!! I felt like a failure but one thing about I do my crying but I never give up because my boys keeps me motivated!!! As of now I’m in a salon suite in Fort Worth it called DFW BEAUTY STUDIO I SAY THAT IT WAS MY BLESSING IN DISGUISE BECAUSE IM DOING WHAT I LOVE CONSISTENTLY AND IT IS CLOSE TO MY HOME AND THIS YEAR HAS BEEN A BIG BLESSING I WENT THROUGH AN ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM FOR MY BOUTIQUE J’Sade’s Fashion Boutique and my hair business I WAS REWARDED A 5K grant also I will be moving into my home very soon this year GOD HAS NEVER KEPT HIS HANDS OFF OF ME IM BEYOND GRATEFUL 🥲 THANK YOU 🙏🏿 GOD!!!
