Ricardo Miller’s journey began in Nassau, Bahamas, where he spent his formative years before making Dallas his permanent home in 2000. As he traveled globally as an itinerant speaker, he honed his skills by joining Toastmasters International and emerging as a motivational speaker.
Happily married to his wife, Karen, with two children, Ricardo Jr., and Grace, Ricardo has served as a pastor at Pathway of Life Church since 2007, now leading Operations and Development.
With over 25 years of experience, Ricardo has trained and equipped Children’s Ministry workers worldwide for respected leaders like Dr. Tony Evans, Pastor Joel Osteen, Bishop TD Jakes, and the late Dr. Myles Munroe.
As a certified Life Coach and author of five books, Ricardo established Effective Living LLC in 2019, focusing on keynote speaking and one-on-one coaching to help individuals create fulfilling lives.
Actively engaged in his community, Ricardo is a member of the Red Oak Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Red Oak Library Advisory Board, and proudly belongs to the Waxahachie Rotary Club. Currently, he is running for city councilman in the City of Red Oak, continuing his mission to make a positive impact wherever he goes.

I’m proud of the man I’ve become. My journey hasn’t been easy, but I’ve embraced every challenge and emerged stronger. I’ve transformed my mindset, priorities, and tastes, evolving into the person I am today.
I am a living testimony of resilience:
– Raised without a father figure.
– Never attained a high school diploma.
– Lacked a college degree.
– Left a gang without incarceration.
– Struggled with dyslexia.
– Survived a bitter divorce.
– Lost homes, cars, and property.
– Endured six years in jobs I despised.
Despite these obstacles, I stand as proof that anyone can overcome adversity and thrive.

Throughout my life, I’ve embraced risk-taking as an essential part of personal growth and success. From making the decision to move from the Bahamas to committing 25 years of my life to establishing a global nonprofit organization, I’ve consistently stepped outside my comfort zone. Even speaking in countries where I didn’t speak the language required a leap of faith. I firmly believe that life is about taking calculated risks; without them, we cannot evolve and achieve our full potential. As I navigate this season of my life, I’ve come to realize that without taking bigger risks, I may find myself living with regrets. Embracing risk is not just about the outcome; it’s about embracing the journey of growth and discovery.
