Exploring Life & Business with Deric Durden

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deric Durden.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was a good student and athlete at W.W. Samuell, and then I started to get into trouble. Hanging out with the wrong individuals led me to go to prison for 17 years. There I vowed to change my life and do something positive with it. While in prison, I joined Toast master’s and found my passion. Now my goal is to reach young individuals who are headed down the same path I was and hopefully change it for them before it’s too late

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth ride! Growing up without my parents not being around, doing 17 years in prison, transitioning back into society.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Deric Durden LLC?
I’m starting off just as a YouTube page, but I’m also going into schools and teaming up with organizations like Urban Specialist to reach as many people as we can starting in the same community that I grew up in.

What matters most to you? Why?
Making an impact in these young people’s lives because it gives value to everything that I have been through. I am also beginning to speak at events and mentor.

Pricing:

  • Speaking $200 an event.
