Hi Diana, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Polished Men was created in 2017. It was designed for men who were not only looking for an extraordinary haircut but a marvelous experience as well. Men’s grooming at its finest! I began the barbershop by myself not knowing what God had in store for me. With encouragement from my family and friends, I was able to move forward with my goal and expand into a bigger suite and now five years later we are a family of six! It was always my dream to start some sort of business, but I never imagined it being a barbershop. I fell in love with the barber trade shortly after graduating from Cosmetology school in 2010. I then pursued my career in 2016 and went back to school to become a licensed barber. Despite going through a pandemic in 2020 and being shut down for two months we are standing stronger now than ever before. The clientele that we have built over time really showed us how supportive they were in time of need, and we wouldn’t be where we are at today without them! Polished Men continues to grow in many different ways, and I look forward to seeing what the future may hold!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I can honestly say the hardest part of my journey is finding out what works best for my business. It is really hard not to compare myself with other local entrepreneurs or franchise businesses in the surrounding areas.

We are a local Barbershop out of Granbury, TX. We are not a walk-in shop. We work solely by appointments. We believe each individual should have a certain time set apart for them. Most of our appointments are booked through our website at polishedmenbarbershop.com. We do anything in regard to men’s grooming like haircuts, nose waxing, eyebrow shaping but we specialize mostly in face shaves and beards. I believe what sets us apart from others within our area would be that we have a modernized barbershop with traditional services. I’m proud to say that when people hear our barbershop name that it is recognized locally.
What were you like growing up?
When I was a kid, I remember being adventurous and curious. I liked trying new things and meeting new people. I liked making others happy. My interest was basketball, the Lakers were my favorite team. I liked to draw and sketch and at times even write poetry. I also enjoyed cutting hair even then it was my Nitch. I would cut a few of my cousin’s hair and even my own at times.
