My journey started with a passion for helping others and creating opportunities for people to feel supported, respected, and empowered. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and later my Master’s in Therapy, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding people, communication, and problem-solving. Over the years, I’ve worked in the behavioral health field, supervising care teams and ensuring individuals and families had access to the resources they needed.
At the same time, I wanted to build something of my own that combined professionalism with community impact. That led me to launch D Austin Notary and Signing Agent, LLC, where I provide mobile and remote notary services across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. What started as a small idea has grown into a trusted business that serves individuals, families, attorneys, and companies by making notarization accessible, convenient, and reliable.
What drives me is simple: I believe in excellence, integrity, and service. Every step of my journey—whether in mental health, leadership, or entrepreneurship—has been about creating trust and helping others navigate important moments in their lives. Today, I’m proud to balance my leadership role in healthcare with running my own business, and I see both as ways to live out my purpose: serving people with care, professionalism, and heart.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has definitely not been smooth, but each challenge has taught me something valuable. One of the biggest obstacles I faced was securing funding and resources to grow my business. As a small business owner, every investment counts, and I had to learn how to stretch my resources while still providing professional, high-quality services.
Another challenge has been marketing and reaching my targeted audience. Building brand awareness and trust doesn’t happen overnight, especially in a competitive market. I’ve had to get creative—leveraging social media, networking events, and word-of-mouth referrals to spread the word about my services.
While these struggles were real, they pushed me to grow as both an entrepreneur and a leader. They taught me persistence, adaptability, and the importance of building genuine connections with clients and community partners.
