Exploring Life & Business with Ellen Monghate of Elle Luxury Wax and Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ellen Monghate.

Hi Ellen, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey in the beauty industry began with a desire to follow in my dad’s mother’s footsteps and honor her memory. She inspired me to pursue a career rooted in care, confidence, and connection. What started as a personal goal quickly grew into a passion for helping others feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.

With over eight years of experience, I’ve continued to refine my skills and focus on high-quality waxing services and skin health while creating a welcoming, judgment-free space for every client. Opening Elle Luxury Wax & Spa was a meaningful milestone and a reflection of both my growth and the legacy that inspired me to begin this journey.

Today, I’m proud to serve the Little Elm and surrounding DFW community, providing personalized care with professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey has not been easy or linear. Building a business from the ground up comes with financial pressure, uncertainty, and moments of self-doubt. There were times when the challenges felt overwhelming and giving up crossed my mind.

What keeps me going is my deep love for this work and the people who inspire me most. My drive comes from my hard-working parents — my mother, who is 80 and still working, and my father, who is 70 and still working. Watching their dedication and sacrifices motivates me to keep pushing forward, especially knowing that time is precious.

Every obstacle has strengthened my resilience and reinforced my commitment to building something meaningful and sustainable, with the hope that I can support my parents and give back to them while I still have the chance.

As you know, we’re big fans of Elle Luxury Wax and Spa. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of creating a space rooted in trust, confidence, and connection. Elle Luxury Wax & Spa is more than a service — it’s a place where clients feel comfortable, respected, and leave feeling their absolute best.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I want readers to know that behind this business is someone who truly cares. Every service, every client, and every detail matters to me. I’m deeply grateful for the support of my community and for every person who has trusted me with their self-care journey.

Building this business hasn’t been easy, but it has been deeply rewarding. I hope my journey encourages others to keep going, even when things feel uncertain. With hard work, consistency, and heart, it’s possible to build something meaningful that truly makes a difference.

I look forward to continuing to grow, serve, and give back while staying true to the values that started it all.
