Exploring Life & Business with Emine Ademi of SALUTE ITALIAN RESTAURANT

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emine Ademi.

Hi Emine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was raised in the restaurant business my mother gave birth to me in the woman’s banquet room bathrooms at my fathers first restaurant in Oswego Illinois. So my siblings say that its only fair if i die in mine, hopefully when I’m 80 lol. We were kids at the age of 9 making old fashions behind the bar. We are very versatile all of my brothers and sisters because my dad had every type of restaurant including; DINERS, PIZZERIAS, FISH, STEAK HOUSE, ITALIAN. We can adapt to all types of concepts and be great at them. I got so busy down here i made my brothers move to help me in opening my stores only to find out they fell in love with a corner spot and to make a long story short they now run EGG POSH in Frisco. Everyone asks how did you make it so far in the restaurant business, i sometimes dont know myself. i suppose you gotta love what you do, i really cant image doing anything else, its all i know. Hard work and having a great team is key.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t think anything is life goes smooth, for me anyway, especially in the restaurant business. their is always bumps in the road, but its definitely been a learning curve because just when i thought i knew it all nope, someone or somethings just shocks me along the way.

As you know, we’re big fans of SALUTE ITALIAN RESTAURANT. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a family owned and operated Italian restaurant Benny the executive Chef and I started our first restaurant in whitewater Wisconsin Fanatico Italian Restaurant and its been 10 years still going strong, we make everything home made, we believe in our ingredients which makes our product superior. I do everything i think that’s the problem lol. i am in the trenches with my team at all times. I’m not sure how to answer what I’m known for if you ask me everything. I do run a tight ship, but its appreciated. maybe that’s a question to ask my team and customers. I think what sets us apart is we have the 3 WANTS, in the restaurant: Great food/service/cleanliness, usually when you go into a store its one of those never 3. I’m most happy that my brand has made a impact on my customers and they notice it, for example in both salutes we opened prior to us being in the same suite their was 2 failed Italian stores that didn’t make it, but with hard work, long hours and grit we stay consistent in our products and service and customers keep coming back. So I’m proud of it all. I want my readers to know that we really do put our heart and soul into the business and if you ate here and if you actually knew us you would know that we don’t have a life outside salute.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
When it was summer we had a civic center and my aunt would bring us food at the pool in pizza boxes, chicken fingers/fries/ mozzarella sticks yes in pizza boxes because we grew up with my dads brothers family in one house until we were like 15. it was so cool.
