Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Titensor.
Hi Erin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Where to begin- I’ve started, grown and sold a business over the last 9 years all while being a mom to two boys. I’m a public speaker, podcaster and host women’s retreats in CA, AZ and TX. My life has drastically changed in the last 2 years. It began in 2020 during covid where I developed my addiction to alcohol and adderall. I grew up Mormon and never really was around alcohol but long story short – we introduced alcohol into our lives a little before covid times and I lived in that addiction for a little over 4 years. I’m currently 15 months sober, making more money than I could dream, working with my absolute dream team, I sponsor women who identify as alcholics and living a life that I couldn’t have ever dreamed about.
*I’m happy to go more into my story – I didn’t know how much you wanted me to write in here!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. Being an addict is the hardest thing I will ever go through in my life. I get addicted to everything and I always have. I’ve had to learn how to completely surrender, accept that I have this disease and make conscious decisions every single day that help me stay on this road of sobriety. Hardest and most rewarding journey.
As you know, we’re big fans of Secure Mortgage Protection. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I help families all over the US. Primarily in the health and life insurance industry. We specifically focus on mortgage protection – pays off your home if you get sick or pass away. So a lot of the clients that I work with are married couples who have a primary breadwinner in the family. We get policies on them (usually the husbands) so that if they were to pass away, the home gets paid off and their family doesn’t have to worry about trying to keep the home, losing everything and getting foreclosed on.
I absolutely love what I do, love the clients that I get to work with. It’s definitely a hard conversation to have. No one wants to talk about their family members dying, but it is a conversation every household needs to have. I’ve seen too many families not have protection in place and the surviving partners end up losing everything.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t really believe in luck. I think the universe gives back to you 10x what you put in. It’s just like working out – you start to see your body change after time, discipline and your level of commitment If you are staying disciplined, putting in the work, doing what you need to do each day, the universal magic is what makes things happen. And it’s always better than what you could have ever imagine.
