

Today we’d like to introduce you to George Chavarria.
Hi George, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Salty Cow was created in 2020, at the height of Covid-19. I have been in the culinary field for 14 years learning from some of the best chefs in and out of Texas. Being a Fort Worth native born and raised in Diamond Hill. I wanted to bring something different to the area. Share my creativity and passion for culinary within the community. Along with my wife we took a leap of faith and started our business, not knowing where it would go. Since then, we have grown and continue to connect with other businesses creating some of the most loyal customers.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Within our first few months, we were a bit overwhelmed with the volume of orders coming through. We since have had to expand to continue to keep up. Currently, we struggle the same as every other culinary operation has with cost and availability of products.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Salty Cow is a charcuterie business located in Fort Worth offering in-housed sliced meats utilizing local produce and products. The culinary background is shown on our boards with infusing cheeses and pairing flavors that complement each other making each one unique. We are a delivery-only operation that also offers large-scale catering and soon to be available for pickup.
How do you define success?
We set out with a goal to sell a few boards and have a few likes. We have since sold hundreds and have a following with organizations that use Salty Cow for monthly/yearly events. Success is something earned from hard work, dedication and we will continue to reach for that.
