Today we’d like to introduce you to Glennetrius Neal.
Hi Glennetrius, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I am grateful my story continues, but how I got where I am today started with this little girl growing up as the only child in a single-parent home. I always longed to have a close bond with a sister who I could share my struggles with; laugh, cry, love, and, yes, fight a little. Although it was a pain point, it became my growing passion which brought me to this place of purpose. Positively. Motivating. Sisters. With Purpose. Meaning. Style.
After many personal struggles, as most of us can experience, I wrote this personal mission with a vision in 2010, “To live an abundant life on purpose that serves, creates, inspires, motivates, and empower women to live in her full potential by using the gifts God has created in me to share with the world; personally and professionally.”
In 2020, I was faced with challenges in my physical body, which was a “Wake Up” moment in every area of my life. I realized I was sleepwalking through my life. So, the alarm sounds off (my pain), and I Wake Up (my passion)! Why? Because my life was calling. My calling is leading women successfully from the classroom to the boardroom because we are meant to grow and develop in all chapters of our life.
Maya Angelou inspires me with this quote, “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” I believe your mission is your compass. For so long, I was navigating through my life with a broken compass because I was not aware of the significance carried within me. Now, I get to live a life on a mission to empower women leaders through coaching, mentoring, and training across the globe motivating them beyond the moment to create habits in fulfilling their success story with Purpose. Meaning. Style.
My story would not be where I am today if I did not accredit my wonderful husband, Terrance, of 5 years. Being a mom to my two beautiful daughters, Anastazia (23) and Mayah (20), and my bonus son, Joseph (32). And I would not be the woman I am without the love and support from my mom, Glenda. Then, there are those things that make my life much richer: gratitude journaling, prayer, spending time with family and friends, reading a good self-help or inspirational book, shopping, entertaining, and celebrating small and big wins.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I believe your failures are stepping stones in your success. Having a smooth road would not have taught me the lessons I needed to grow and given me the resilience in continuing on my journey. One of my greatest struggles has been learning how to prioritize my business, my life, health, and all the other things in between, which is why I am such a big advocate of “filling your cup” first to serve my clients and community better.
Being a recovering perfectionist, I had to learn mistakes were allowed. Planning, launching, and growing a business, much like our life’s journey, mistakes are going to happen. I have struggled with investing in the wrong partnerships to gain visibility for my business. I had to learn mistakes are not failures, but they are indicators I am involved in the activities of my life. From diving into entrepreneurship and learning how to drown out the noise from what seemed like the right decisions to strategically align my business goals. From this failure, I learned to get clear in my values, which helped me align with my actions, who I learned from, and what clients and business ventures served my business needs best. I struggled with what we often hear and talk about, “imposter syndrome.” I had to allow the inner core of my being, “God,” guide me as I walked into spaces which were not in my comfort zone.
Do I still have struggles? Yes, but I have learned new levels create new challenges which I have been created for. Instead of giving up, I give in to what the struggles are teaching me because when you learn better, you can serve and be better.

What does success mean to you?
I believe success is staying committed, understanding change, and courage equals significant self-development. Staying committed involves work. How can you be a success at anything when you are not committed? Think of any situation that did not involve you being committed. If you are going to bake a cake, you must be committed. You will need the recipe with the ingredients and instructions for your cake to come out as a success. You are committed to getting sleep every night. That is success. Success can range from meeting financial goals, achieving set deadlines at work, cooking your favorite meal, completing school, having a career, parenting, launching your own business, being a wife, being a friend, being a leader, and serving in your community. All these things take work. Estee’ Lauder, American businesswoman and entrepreneur, stated, “I never dreamed about success I worked for it.”
We must be willing to change our minds to go into the direction we want to grow. Change doesn’t just happen; it requires work and a shift in your mindset. About 60% of people desire something bigger and better. In other words, change, but they are not willing to do what it takes. Often, we resist change because of fear, lack of knowledge, or loss of control because we may be in unchartered territory. Change will often move us out of our comfort zone. Michelle Obama stated, “Success isn’t about how much money you make; it’s about the difference you make in people’s lives.” When we strive to make a difference, even when it’s one person’s life, you can still impact a million more.
Success is when I get the opportunity to help someone in their personal development by achieving a goal, being inspired to live out a dream, stretching beyond their comfort zone, and showing up to do the work. It impacts someone else, and the domino effect begins to happen, touching more than one.
We are all here for a purpose and plan. One thing you must remember is you must define success and what that means for you and then build a life you can be proud of.
