Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my business in home staging in 2006. Not long after that I began to receive inquiries for assistance with home furnishings and small remodel projects. I was enthusiastic to expand my business services to include interior decorating and design. With a zest to take on larger projects I found other designers, architects and contractors to help. The business evolved and grew and now we take on projects from consultations to whole home gut and remodels.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like any business, it has not been a smooth road. My business has weathered a pandemic with increased freight costs on building materials and furnishings. Materials were delayed and projects took longer to complete.
The democratization of design has reshaped our industry. Furnishings and home décor that were once reserved for designers are now within reach of the general public. This evolution has altered the perception of our firm, as clients have greater access than ever before.
With recent tariffs driving up the costs of furnishings, fixtures, and materials, budgets simply don’t go as far as they used to. Understandably, clients have become more cautious-some are postponing major projects while some are beginning with smaller projects.
Over the years I have learned to adapt and uphold a high level of service through every challenge. People are seeking help with their design projects and they appreciate the insight that comes from a trusted interior designer.
We’ve been impressed with Holly Bellomy Interiors LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My firm is recognized for its refined approach to color. The strategic use of bold wallpaper transforms interiors into statement spaces of elegance and individuality!
