Exploring Life & Business with Janiqua Daniels of GreenVelour

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janiqua Daniels.

Hi Janiqua, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I love to cook, so I turned my hobby into a business. I started culinary school in 23’ so everything has been flowing from there.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road, I was back and forth on what type of food I want to serve so that was my main concern. I struggled with gaining confidence and consistency because of me having social anxiety. Now that I am where I want to be, it’s a lot smoother.

We’ve been impressed with GreenVelour, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
GreenVelour is dedicated to providing top-tier catering and meal preparation with a focus on sustainability and elegance. We specialize in creating bespoke dining experiences that not only tantalize the taste buds but also respect our planet. Our commitment to using locally sourced, organic ingredients sets us apart, ensuring that every dish is fresh, flavorful, and environmentally responsible.

What we’re most proud of is our innovative approach to reducing waste through composting and eco-friendly packaging. We want your readers to know that GreenVelour is more than just a business; it’s a movement towards a greener, more sustainable future, one delicious meal at a time.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was very outgoing and goofy. I was also quiet but once I warmed up, you would never guess that this little girl is shy and to herself. I played in dirt, climbed fences and played with bugs. I cooked with my mother and my grandmother, gardened with my grandmother and helped cut grass.
