Exploring Life & Business with Jason Brown of The law Office of Jason Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Brown.

Hi Jason, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I took the scenic route to law. Before I ever cracked open a casebook, I spent nearly a decade in the U.S. Army and then several years as a pharmaceutical rep. Eventually, I decided to dive into law school—later in life than most of my classmates.

But where my story really takes a turn is right before my final semester. I had a terrible motorcycle accident that left my body shattered and me with a traumatic brain injury. I had to take time off, fight through recovery, and somehow make it back to graduate. The next mountain? Passing the state bar with a TBI. By grace (and plenty of support), I did it.

That near-death experience gave me a whole new perspective: I realized just how unprepared I had been, “just in case.” Now, I’ve turned that lesson into my mission. Today, I focus on estate planning and probate—helping others prepare for the unexpected, so they and their families don’t have to face what I did.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth? Not even close. I think “smooth” is probably the furthest description from reality. The accident, recovery, and then trying to finish law school and pass the bar with a TBI was an uphill climb every single step of the way. There were moments of doubt, setbacks, and plenty of days where just getting through felt like a win.

But here’s the thing—I learned more about myself, and about the people around me, during that season than I ever could have in a classroom. Resilience, humility, and the power of support networks became more than buzzwords—they were survival skills.

And in the end, it was worth it. Every bump, bruise, and hard lesson made me better at what I do now: helping others prepare for the unexpected with clarity and compassion.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The law Office of Jason Brown?
About My Business
I specialize in estate planning and probate—two sides of the same coin. Each informs the other, and every lesson learned in one area makes me more effective in the other.

What I’m Known For
If you ask me what I’m known for, I’d probably say: being willing to meet people where they are. There are a lot of misconceptions in this area of law, and I see part of my role as a teacher. Some clients want every detail explained, others just want the essentials—and I’m comfortable providing either.

What Sets Me Apart
What makes me proud is the ability to continue serving people by making sure they have the right plan in place for both their needs and their budget. It’s not about fancy paperwork or complicated legalese—it’s about making sure families are protected when life takes an unexpected turn.

What I Want Readers to Know
If there’s one message I could leave your readers with, it’s this: everybody needs at least a Will. It doesn’t matter how old you are or how little you think you have—that document is a must. Planning ahead isn’t about wealth, it’s about peace of mind and making things easier for the people you love.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Most Important Lesson
I’ve learned many lessons along the way, and it’s hard to single out just one. But if I had to, I’d say this: estate planning isn’t really about preparing for your death—it’s about making life easier for the people who love you and will carry on after you.

I’ve also learned that law isn’t just about documents and signatures; sometimes, the most valuable thing I can offer a client is simply listening. People often need to be heard just as much as they need a plan, and that reminder has shaped the way I approach every case.

Pricing:

  • Everybody’s situation is unique, a Will plan starts at $250
  • A trust plan starts around $2500
  • Ancillary documents can be needed on a case by case scenario and usually start at $125
