Exploring Life & Business with Jeanelle Dugue of Christie’s International Real Estate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeanelle Dugue.

Hi Jeanelle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been anything but linear, and I think that’s what makes it meaningful. I come from a family of business owners, so entrepreneurship and independence were always around me, even before I fully understood it. I was also deeply inspired by my Godmother, who worked in real estate during the market crash in the early 2000s. Watching her navigate uncertainty while still helping people made a lasting impression on me, even if I didn’t realize it at the time.

Before entering real estate, I worked in the healthcare field, where my passion for helping people truly took shape. I loved being able to support others during vulnerable moments, but I eventually felt called to create a career where I could make a long-term impact on people’s lives and build something of my own. That realization led me to real estate.

I was born in Miami and raised in Tampa, Florida, but Dallas had always felt familiar because of family ties. After years of visiting my older sister, I made the move, and stepping into a new city pushed me to grow quickly, both personally and professionally. Starting my real estate career in a competitive market taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of leading with integrity.

Over the past few years, I’ve built my business around education, advocacy, and relationships. I work with buyers, sellers, renters, and investors, with a strong focus on helping renters understand their path to homeownership. I’ve hosted educational seminars, partnered with lenders, and made it a priority to meet people where they are, financially and emotionally.

Today, I’m proud of the business I’m building, but even more proud of the trust I’ve earned. My journey has shaped me into an agent who values transparency, patience, and service above everything else. I’m still evolving, still learning, and still driven by the same goal I started with helping people make confident, informed decisions during some of the biggest moments of their lives.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, especially in real estate, I’ve faced seasons of uncertainty, financial pressure, and self-doubt. Starting out in a highly competitive market meant learning quickly, often through trial and error. There were moments where deals fell through, income was inconsistent, and I had to remind myself why I started in the first place.

One of the biggest challenges was navigating growth while still finding my footing, learning how to balance survival with building something sustainable. I also had to unlearn the idea that success happens overnight. Real estate requires patience, discipline, and emotional resilience, especially when you’re deeply invested in the people you’re helping.

On a personal level, I’ve had to push through moments of burnout and reassess how I define success. There were times when I had to slow down, reset, and rebuild my confidence, systems, and mindset. Those pauses weren’t setbacks, they were necessary lessons that shaped how I operate today.

Every struggle taught me something valuable how to advocate for myself, how to set boundaries, and how to lead with clarity and intention. Looking back, the challenges didn’t derail me; they refined me. They helped me build a business that’s more aligned, more sustainable, and rooted in purpose rather than pressure.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business is built on education, advocacy, and relationships. I’m a real estate professional with Christie’s International Real Estate, proudly serving as part of the Monarch Realty Group, and I serve clients throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. I work with buyers, sellers, renters, and investors, but my true specialty is helping renters understand their path to ownership. Many people assume homeownership is out of reach, and I’m passionate about breaking down that misconception through clear guidance, honest conversations, and strategic planning.

What sets me apart is my approach. I don’t believe in rushing clients or pushing transactions. I focus on meeting people where they are financially, emotionally, and mentally while helping them make informed decisions that align with their long-term goals. Whether someone is ready to buy now or needs a plan for the next year or two, I take pride in being a trusted resource, not just an agent.

I’m known for being hands-on, transparent, and deeply involved in my clients’ journeys. From hosting educational homebuyer seminars and collaborating closely with lending partners to personally farming neighborhoods and staying connected with my community, everything I do is intentional and relationship-driven. I view real estate as a service first and a business second.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built and the reputation I’ve earned for being honest, patient, and reliable. My brand represents clarity in a space that often feels overwhelming. I want people to know that working with me means having an advocate someone who educates, protects, and genuinely cares about their outcome, not just the closing.

At the core, my brand is about empowerment. I want readers to know that real estate isn’t just about buying or selling property it’s about creating stability, opportunity, and confidence for the future, and I’m grateful to be a part of that process for the people I serve.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is impact knowing that the work I do genuinely improves someone’s life. I care deeply about helping people feel informed, confident, and supported when making big decisions, especially in spaces that can feel overwhelming or intimidating. Whether it’s guiding someone toward homeownership, helping them regain stability, or simply being a reliable resource, I value being someone people can trust.

Integrity also matters deeply to me. I believe in doing the right thing even when it’s not the easiest or most profitable option. That means being honest, setting realistic expectations, and sometimes advising clients to wait if that’s truly in their best interest. Long-term relationships will always matter more to me than short-term wins.

On a personal level, growth and alignment matter. I’ve learned that success isn’t just about achievement it’s about building a life and career that feels purposeful and sustainable. I want my work to reflect who I am, my values, and the care I have for my community.

At the end of the day, what matters most is knowing that I showed up with intention, compassion, authenticity, and that the people I serve felt seen, heard, and supported because of it.
