Hi Jerrica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My purpose… 17 years ago, I was diagnosed with type one diabetes. I knew then I wanted to be a nurse to care for people. As I transitioned from bedside nursing to aesthetic nursing, I realized how my daily injections can be used as a skill to achieve aesthetic goals in others. Aesthetic treatments are effective in treating one’s appearance, self-confidence, and increased self-esteem. I’m glad I found my purpose as a nurse injector whose goal is to help others and enhance the beauty in others one syringe at a time.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a journey thus far, and as I continue to grow, I will be faced with more challenges. The goal is to learn from your challenges/obstacles to make you a stronger individual.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My desire to embark on the beauty and wellness industry started after meeting a medspa expert on my Six Figure Travel Nurse Trip in Tulum, Mexico. Also, my sisters’ background as a student in esthecian school really set the foundation for me. As I supported my sister in school and received services, my passion for skin and beauty grew more. I am excited to start this new journey as an aesthetic nurse and plan to advance my skills in aesthetics by investing in ongoing training and education to provide quality care for my clients.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I feel starting this business was a risk; however, it was a risk that was worth taking. When I reflect on my long-term goals and future, I wanted something bigger and better. Taking a risk meant believing in myself, having faith, and a building a support system.
