Today we’d like to introduce you to Kanessa Cooper.
Hi Kanessa, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Miss Squeeze Flavored Lemonade originally started in Atlanta, Ga (2020). Living in ATL I would attend different festivals or events in the city and see businesses would offer lemonades, but not a lot of flavor options. I always loved flavored lemonades and figured I could experiment and create my own. My goal was to experiment with different fruit and make as many flavors as possible. Of course, I wanted everything to be fresh so I only would use fruits that were in season. After experimenting for a while, I figured I could turn this into a business. It took me months to figure out my business name and what I wanted for my brand. I worked with close friends who have their own businesses to create my logo, bottle labels, pick proper packaging, and more. In 2021 I moved to San Antonio, Tx for a new job and took a break from my business. Coming back into my business I wanted to officially start the shipping process because I had friends and family from different states. I practiced shipping, got new packaging to preserve my flavored lemonades, and worked on my website. I opened my business back up April 2022 so now I can ship all over the US.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Running a business isn’t the easiest process. You have your slow months and you have your months where you’re booked and busy. I have definitely learned to be more patient and to not be so hard on myself. Having a business and still having a career is possible, but I had to learn to be way more organized and balance out my time.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is traveling to different places whether it was in the US or outside of the US. I love traveling and would love to travel the world to try different fruits so I can incorporate them in my flavored lemonades.
