Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Marable.
Hi Katrina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Seeing others succeed has always been my drive, but in 1998 when I started my janitorial service in Clarksville, Tennessee, did not know where to go to get the proper skills to run a business, so I asked others who’s were in the industry, but not lucky with that. I spent countless night combing through library books and paperwork I got from the Tennessee Small Business Center. The Internet was not the way it is now, so everything was actual leg work, but I am grateful for those times, and now all that I have learned through the years can help others.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No the road of an entrepreneur is not easy, you have more responsibilities being a business owner than you did on a 9 to 5. Having to lead others can sometimes be difficult, and trying. You don’t only have to think about yourself, but your clients, and employees. But you figure out what works for you and stick to that. Many think you have free time, but you really don’t, but when you see what has been accomplished, you know it was worth it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
The process and programs I created is called The Bold Shift Experience, a faith base deep dive into why you are starting a business, and why that industry. I am known for being a visionary and faith leader who believes that your business is tied to your calling. I help establish a life long infrastructure and an existing plan for your future, rather it be business or lifestyle. I work with business owner, entrepreneurs, authors, speaker, and those in leadership. I believe everyone on this earth has something great, and may not know how to activate it.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
When going to network keep in mind the types of individuals you want to build with. Ots great to network but there has to be a deeper connections than us just meeting over coffee or dinner. What are we building together? Why am I building it with you?
