Keith, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Keith From. I am the owner of Custom Sheds by Keith/CSBKLLC. I want to thank you for contacting me regarding an interview.
For 15 years, CSBK has been building one of a kind, Custom Sheds, Decks, Backyard Offices and Tiny Houses.
Keith From, owner of CSBK LLC (Custom Sheds by Keith), started his business in January 2010 after retiring from a 25-year career in advertising and print media. He focuses on building custom sheds, tiny homes, backyard offices, and other custom backyard buildings, emphasizing superior products and customer service. CSBK LLC serves the entire DFW area and has also built cabins and tiny houses in Arkansas, Oklahoma, East, and South Texas.
Mygreatest strength is communicating with customers to bring their vision to life. I work philosophy is “God, Family, Work” in that order. The business has social media presences on Facebook and a website.
I am motivated by the goal of building Dignity Park, a planned community to help the homeless population. In five years, he aim is to be building multiple housing units for this purpose. Dignity Park could be a large 100-unit community or smaller groups of homes built at churches or on city-owned lots. The main challenge I face with Dignity Park is communication with city leaders and organizations in the DFW area. (www.dignitypark.com)
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely NOT been easy.
The hardest part has been, believe it or not, advertising. You can break the bank paying for Google and Facebook ads. The key to success is finding a way that does not cost any money.

What I am most proud of is that for 15 years, we have never wavered in quality. A lot of brands have changed the way that they build in favor of the bottom line. Our quality has never changed. We started with the highest quality, and we are still there.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I would not call it luck. We have been Blessed. Blessed to hire caring, skilled carpenters, office staff, and Blessed to have customers come our way when we needed them.
