Exploring Life & Business with Kevan Jowers of Cruise Car Wash

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevan Jowers.

Hi Kevan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Cruise Car Wash was founded by three partners who bring decades of experience and passion to the car wash industry. Larry Ayres began his journey in 1997 when he opened All American Car Wash in Wichita Falls, Texas. Over the next two decades, he grew the business to four successful locations before selling in late 2021. After a short break, Larry returned to the industry in 2024, partnering with longtime colleagues Raul Escobedo and Kevan Jowers to create Cruise Car Wash.

Raul worked alongside Larry for over 20 years as a trusted operator, while Kevan entered the business later through his wife, Rebecca, who also spent nearly 20 years with Larry’s company in accounting and business administration. A former teacher and coach, Kevan brought a strong background in business operations, IT, and marketing, as well as experience as the owner of an embroidery company specializing in corporate apparel and promotional products. Together, Kevan and Raul also operate a consulting company, supporting car wash operators across the region.

In January 2025, the team brought Cruise Car Wash to Graham, Texas, a community they had long hoped to serve. With deep industry knowledge and a commitment to quality, the partners are dedicated to building strong relationships with their customers and community. Looking ahead, Cruise plans to expand to additional sites while continuing to bring innovative experiences, including seasonal events like the upcoming Haunted Tunnel in October.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As with any business, there will be ups and downs. Luckily, we’ve experienced many of the hardships common for the industry already and know how to adjust accordingly. Whether it was through drought restrictions or Covid lockdown, we learned how to be resilient.

We’ve been impressed with Cruise Car Wash, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Cruise Car Wash offers a complete car care experience. Customers can choose from quick and convenient express washes or enjoy the value of monthly unlimited memberships. In addition to exterior cleaning, we provide interior services to keep vehicles spotless inside and out. Every wash includes an hand towel dry, access to free vacuums and complimentary customer towels, with added perks like free glass cleaner, air fresheners, and dash wipes included in our top two wash packages. Beyond daily services, Cruise Car Wash also brings the community together with special events such as our Haunted Tunnel in October.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Customer Service to provide the best customer experience and community involvement. Every market we’ve ever been in, we love to be close with those that support us. It plays a key role to the success of the business as well as the culture we build around our customers and employees.
