Hi Marquavis, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story is very unique to me at least, I stared my Chef journey over 12 years ago. I always knew I would be good at cooking I just never knew it would take me to the places I’ve been. My private chef journey has been very challenging but rewarding at the same time. Leaving my job as a Business Banker for Wells Fargo during the pandemic was the biggest leap of faith Ive taken thus far. I knew once I took that step to bet on myself it would be nothing but greatness awaiting. It has now been 6 years since I started my Entrepreneurship journey and I’m very thankful for the lessons & progress I’ve achieved. I’ve also started a Restaurant consulting company in 2024, helping restaurants in a kitchen rescue type of way.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing worth having will be a easy road, there has been very challenging times during my journey. One thing I can say is I love every low and high moment I’ve encountered because they have came with very valuable lessons. Being self taught in anything you will face challenges, mostly because theres no rulebook or guide to entrepreneurship, especially being first generation.
