Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Schaffer.
Hi Michelle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Some entrepreneurs are born and some are made. I was born with a spirit that didn’t want to fit into any box. I was a teen mom, having my first child at 16 years old. By the time I was 21 I was divorced with 2 toddlers. My drive to create a life for my kids and impact the lives of women runs deep. My career began as a stylist and makeup artist. I stood behind the chair for over a decade. My second career has been steeped in the encouragement and empowerment of women. I feel called to help them identify their true identity and live their lives from a place of authority and faith. I have been a podcast host since 2017. I love that platform because you can be completely authentic, there is no one telling you what you can or cannot talk about. I have written 2 books. I am very passionate about training up new women as leaders. Women have not always been positioned to excel as leaders, nor do we really have any BIG women role models for leadership training. That is why I feel God called me to create The Radiant Leadership Academy. It is a 16-week leadership certification by women for women, all based on Biblical principles. You can access that from my company Girl Power Alliance. I founded it in 2020. I wanted to create resources and a community where ambitious Christian professional women could grow and thrive. We are hosting our first big live event in Dallas in April. It will be a spectacular showing of women having massive success, and training, so the women attending will leave equipped, and inspired to reach new levels. The event opens with a live worship concert and ends with a red-carpet gala. The gala will feature Tasha Layton, a chart-topping Christian artist, a live charity auction, and every woman will be celebrated for her hard work and contributions. This event is sure to dazzle. Activate is the only Conference and Expo specifically designed for Professional Christian women. I am so proud to bring this to the women of Dallas.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am so blessed to have been able to earn multiple seven figures in my career, but boy oh boy it has been anything but easy. However, with all of my heart each and every setback has led to some incredible growth. It has been 3 decades of ups and downs. I have had major betrayals from those that appeared tone a friend, only to have them stab me in the back and harm my business and reputation. We had a hostile takeover of one of the businesses that left us with nothing and emotionally beat down. We have endured economic downturns and moved across the country from California to Florida for what we thought was an amazing opportunity, only to end up not being paid after 2 months. But God. Even though each of those terrible times, God showed up and walked us through to the next thing. I do not look back on those things and feel sadness or regret. Each them made me stronger, and smarter and led me to the next opportunity.

We are a Christ-Centered personal and professional development company. We provide a wide variety of resources to help women grow. We take a holistic approach to this. We believe that growing is the most powerful gift you can give your family, yourself, and your gift to the world. There is no other company in the world doing what we are doing, the way we are doing it. I have a passion for helping more women around the world create financial sovereignty. What do you think about happiness?
I am the happiest when I get to enjoy time with my family making memories. I am also happiest when I am making progress. Nothing feels more discouraging to me than being stagnant. Whether it is improving my own health, growing a business, or walking alongside of another woman to help her grow, I feel so fulfilled when growth happens. Growth is all about hope for the future. If you are making any sort of progress, you will find it hard to lack hope.
