Exploring Life & Business with Morgan Taton of Little Pink Farmhouse

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Taton.

Hi Morgan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
We are a women-owned/ran business! we started making candles in our kitchen, which lead to our barn studio in Montana and decided to give it a real try. We launched in 2020 around the start of covid, and had a great response!

Morgan (sister-in-law /daughter-in-law) had a background in fashion and lived in the Dallas area for 10+ years. She loved the candles so much she came on board as our third owner.

What started as a search for an amazing, clean-burning candle turned into our third year as a small, luxury candle company. We are growing and hustling every day to bring our customers the amazing products they’ve grown to know and love from us, and have made our way in boutiques and stores across the nation!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Although it has been an overall success thus far, we have definitely had our struggles along the way. Between Covid and the economy, getting simple items we need to keep our inventory alive has been tough, as many small businesses can understand. We are also family so that can be tricky, but it has honestly bonded us all even more. It’s been a fun, exciting, and sometimes stressful rollercoaster for all three of us, but we wouldn’t change it for the world.

Between the three of us, we have learned to lean into each other’s strengths and find who is the right person for each job!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Little Pink Farmhouse?
We are a luxury candle company in our third year. We focus on family-owned practices like amazing customer service and a nice, easy shopping experience to set us apart. And if that’s not enough, all of our candles, diffusers and even luxury perfumes are all 100% hand-poured by us. Our candles are also clean burning and contain all non-toxic ingredients, so our customers can feel safe using them in their homes.

Our main “offices” are in Montana (making/distribution) and Dallas (sales/customer support/market showroom)

What do you like and dislike about the city?
Dallas is an amazing place that has something to offer for everyone but feels easy all at the same time. Whether you are looking for the best shopping or restaurants the country has to offer, or get outside of town to country feel in the suburbs, DFW has you covered.

Pricing:

  • large candles $58
  • diffusers $42
  • perfumes $56
