Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my journey right after graduating high school. At that time, my daughter was two years old, and I felt like I wasn’t spending enough time with her due to being in school, so I knew I wanted a career that would allow me to be present with her while building something for myself. I noticed that beauty was and has always been a big thing for us women, so I wanted to be involved in the beauty business. That’s what led me to nails also because it was something I can practice from home while still caring for my child.
I’m self-taught, & I’m proud to say that. I was learning of from YouTube & practicing on fake fingers, I dedicated a lot of my time to that. I would wait until my daughter fell asleep just to get my practice in. I also had a strong support system, my husband & my parents, who encouraged me throughout this journey.
Once I had learned the basics I started showcasing my work on social media, I practiced on friend and family to continue to improve my techniques and build my confidence. Over time I began to invest in better products and my workspace, turning what started as a small idea into something more serious and professional. In 2024, I decided to take the next step and pursue my cosmetology operating license so I can expand my services and grow withing the beauty industry.
While in school, I rebranded my business to Divine Blvd by Crisstely, which represents my vision of creating a full beauty experience. Today I offer a range of services including acrylic nails, manicure, and pedicures, all within a clean and elevated environment focused on making my clients feel confident and taken care of.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Between 2020 and 2022 I welcomed two more babies, and while my family was growing, I was also learning how to balance motherhood with building my business. However, I had clients reaching out and asking when I would return, and truly that’s what motivated me to keep going instead of giving up.
While I was in school it was very challenging at times especially when it came to finding childcare. If it wasn’t for my mom and my sister, honestly, I wouldn’t had been able to complete the 1000 hours required. I’m truly grateful for their support throughout that process. Overall, that experience taught me patience, discipline, and consistency, even during the difficult moments, I learn how to adjust, keep going and stay committed to my goals which shaped me into the business owner I am today,

Divine Blvd by Crisstely is my beauty business where I focus on providing quality nail and self-care services in a clean and comfortable space. I specialize in acrylic nails, manicures and pedicures, and I take a lot of pride in making sure my work is clean, detailed, and consistent. I would say I’m known for really taking my time and paying attention to the small details. I want every set to come out right and fit each client’s style. What sets me apart is the experience I create for my clients. It’s not just about coming to get pampered; I want it to feel like time for yourself, a moment to step away from everything and just relax. I focus on making my clients feel comfortable welcomed and taken care if from the moment they sit on my chare. overtime, it becomes more than just a service. I build real connections with my clients, and I want them to know they don’t just have a nail tech in me; they have someone who genuinely cares. What I’m most proud of is building my business from the ground up while balancing my family and everything else in life. It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve stayed consistent and kept pushing myself to grow. I want readers to know that Divine Blvd is all about a luxury experience. I currently offer manicures, acrylic nails, pedicures, and I’ll soon be expanding into hair services and waxing. I also make sure my clients feel appreciated, new clients receive $15 off their first service & every client leaves with a complimentary aftercare kit. My goal is to make sure everyone feels taken care off from start to finish,
Any big plans?
My plan for the future is to continue expanding my services and eventually open my own salon. that has always been my long-term goal. The name Divine Blvd by Crisstely comes from that vison. I want it to be a one-stop beauty destination for my clients. I see Divine Blvd as a place where everything can be done in one space. Whether its nails, toes, hair, lashes, or waxing. I want my clients to be able to come in and get all their beauty needs taken care off in one place. That’s the vision I’m working towards and I’m continuing to build and grow my business with that goal in mind.
