Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Pacheco.
Hi Nicole, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always loved baking and started making cake pops as a hobby while holding a successful real estate career. In 2014 when I was on maternity leave with my daughter I decided to retire from real estate and become a stay-at-home mom. It’s at that time that my hobby turned into a successful business and Big Top Cake Pops was born! Since then, I’ve gone on to win Most Loved and Best of Denton County as well as be featured on Texas Today on NBC5!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course, with any business, there are struggles but that is part of the learning curve. I started making basic round cake pops and thought the custom intricate designs were above my skill level, but with practice, I was able to step up my game! I’m always up for a challenge, what can I create for you?!
As you know, we’re big fans of Big Top Cake Pops. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We create custom gourmet cake pops for all occasions. We pride ourselves in freshness, our cakes and cake pops are never frozen. We are baking daily! We are a family-owned business and are proud to serve the DFW area and honored to be so loved by our community! In addition to the artistic flare of our cake pops, I feel what sets us apart is the personal relationship we develop with our customers. We have customers who we have created cake pops for their weddings, baby showers, their child’s first birthday, and so on. We truly have customers for life!!!
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I firmly believe to be successful you lift others up including your competition. In the cake popping world, I’ve become friends with extremely talented cake pop artists. We lean on each other and help each other out. Also, I wouldn’t be as successful as I am without my sidekick, my husband, he is the set producer, the Director behind the scenes making sure the logistics flow smoothly without a hitch!
