Exploring Life & Business with N’kole Bryant of WarriorQueen

Today we’d like to introduce you to N’kole Bryant.

N’kole Bryant

Hi N’kole, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I began my journey as a Community Activist in 2018 by joining Suits For Judah, a 501 C3 nonprofit organization that aims to change the mindsets and lives of the youth in Dallas, Texas’ underserved and under-resourced communities through Mentorship, Exposure, Entrepreneurship, and Empowerment. I then became the CFO of the organization and assisted with fundraising, budgeting, and financial management. I also participated in various programs and events that provided mentorship, exposure, entrepreneurship, and empowerment to the young people and adults as well.

In February of 2019, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer, and that prompted me to found WarriorQueen, a community organization that assists with breast cancer awareness (Triple Negative Breast Cancer, in particular), breast health, and mental wellness. I was inspired by my own experience of being diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer and surviving it. I wanted to share my story and support other women who were going through the same challenge.

Next, up in 2020, we launched Word On Da Street W/Judah, a TV show and YouTube channel that showcases Guerilla Journalism and documentary filmmaking. I have produced a number of documentaries, including Sandbranch: The Texas Town With No Running Water and The Most Revolutionary Interview Ever etc., which covered topics such as social justice, environmental issues, mental health, and community development. We interviewed inspiring people who shared their stories and perspectives on what was going on in their communities. I utilized filmmaking as a tool to empower people to capture the stories of their lives and neighborhoods. In 2021, we were awarded by Not My Son as the Community Humanitarian of the Year because of our work during the Texas Winter Storm. We were pleased to be able to have helped over 600 families get the essentials they needed to survive, including a warm place to sleep. Then, in December 2022, we were awarded by CIVN (Commissary Is Very Necessary) as the Nonprofit Organization of the Year. You can learn more about us and watch our documentaries on our YouTube channel Word On Da Street W/Judah.

As of today, August 2023, I have been in remission from breast cancer for 4 years this September. I am still producing and directing podcast shows, TV shows, documentaries, theatre plays, movies, and I do event photography. WarriorQueen is blossoming, and we happy about all the growth in the right direction. I will also be having my very 1st event on October 14, 2023, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, WarriorQueen’s 1st Ever Mammos & Margs!! I’m really excited about this event, and this will also help in my goal to donate $2.2 million for Breast Cancer Research, especially Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road at all. Some of the struggles that I still face along this journey is dealing with my survivorship and trying not to embrace Survivor’s Remorse. It’s not as easy as people make it out to be; it truly hurts. Then, we have the business ups and downs, as expected, but the ups are way up, and the downs are few and far between.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about WarriorQueen?
WarriorQueen is dedicated to empowering individuals impacted by Triple Negative Breast Cancer through comprehensive education and unwavering support. Our mission extends beyond the physical battle, embracing the importance of mental health. Fostering resilience and creating a community where warriors find strength, understanding, and hope.

As a motivational speaker, mentor, and networker, I have a passion for connecting with different people and organizations. One of my proudest achievements is founding WarriorQueen, a community organization that assists with breast cancer awareness, breast health, and mental wellness. Through my own journey of surviving breast cancer, I have learned to be transparent and supportive of other women who face the same challenge. I want to share my story and knowledge with your readers and encourage them to take care of their breast health. Early detection saves lives, and I am here to help you with any questions, concerns, or fears you may have.

If you are in need of a speaker for Breast Cancer Awareness Month or any other event, you can book me as a speaker for your event by sending an email to [WarriorQueen08@outlook.com]. I will share my story and knowledge about breast cancer awareness, breast health, and mental wellness. I can also motivate and inspire your audience with this Warrior Queen spirit.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
The COVID-19 crisis taught me many valuable lessons. I realized that I could achieve anything I set my mind to and that learning a new skill was not as difficult as I perceived it to be. I also learned how to truly embrace patience due to COVID-19 delaying my surgery dates for more than a year, which forced me to wear an expander longer than I should have. Most importantly, I learned how to let go of my past life and embrace the new one with courage and optimism.
