Today we’d like to introduce you to Rafael And Leila Chavez.
Hi Rafael and Leila , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our journey into real estate began in 2020. Rafael started as a licensed real estate agent, while I began working at a real estate wholesaling company. What initially drew both of us in was the flexibility. The idea that we could build a career that allowed us to control our time and our schedule.
In 2023, when we found out we were expecting our first child, it gave us the push we needed to take a leap of faith. I left my manager role at the company I’d been with for four years, and together, we launched our own business — Realty Revived.
We were first-time parents, running on little sleep, and learning how to build a business from the ground up, all at once. But even through the exhaustion, it always felt right. Our son became our “why.” He gave us purpose and drive on the hardest days. Failure was never an option. We were fully committed to seeing this through.
Since launching Realty Revived, we’ve been focused on creating a one-stop shop in the residential real estate market, where we help clients buy, sell, or rent both on and off market. A big part of our mission is helping families who are facing foreclosure, giving them options to either keep their home or sell it on their own terms.
Today, we’re picking up about five listings a month and have closed over $5 million in sales in just our first year. We’ve built a website, earned numerous 5-star client reviews, hired a virtual assistant, brought on additional agents to handle our growing pipeline, and formed strong partnerships with other companies in the industry.
While we still consider ourselves in the early stages, we’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and we’re even more excited about where we’re headed.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There have been countless challenges, trial and error moments, and plenty of lessons along the way. Real estate, especially in the DFW area, is an extremely saturated market. With nearly 10,000 agents competing for the same leads. The competition is constant.
Often, the same homeowner we’re reaching out to has already received 10 to 15 other calls that same day. Learning how to stand out, build trust quickly, and connect with someone over the phone within the first few minutes has been a skill we’re continuously working to master. There’s a psychology to it – understanding people, finding common ground, and making a genuine connection in a short amount of time.
Another challenge we often face is competing with other realtors or investors who overpromise to sellers just to secure a contract — only to change things at the last minute. Unfortunately, that leaves homeowners in tough positions, especially those already under pressure from looming foreclosure deadlines.
From day one, we’ve committed to doing business differently. We believe in setting clear and realistic expectations upfront. Our clients are often up against the clock, and we know they don’t have time to waste. We’d rather be transparent, even if that means losing a deal, than tell someone what they want to hear and not deliver. That honesty has helped us build genuine relationships and long-term trust with our clients.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Realty Revived?
At Realty Revived, we’re more than just a real estate business. We’re a trusted partner for homeowners in the Dallas–Fort Worth area who are navigating major transitions. Whether you’re buying, selling, renting (on-market or off-market), facing foreclosure, or settling an inherited property, our full-service approach is designed to cover every angle of the residential real estate journey.
What sets us apart is our dual focus:
Helping homeowners preserve what they have — for clients facing foreclosure, we offer no-cost guidance and advocacy. We negotiate with lenders, apply for loss-mitigation options, and connect families with legal and financial resources so they can make informed decisions.
Creating value for those ready to move on — if selling or repositioning a property makes more sense, we provide flexible solutions: fast cash offers (as-is, no repairs, quick closings), or traditional listings.
From day one, our mission has been built on transparency, compassion, and a genuine commitment to what’s best for the family, not just the deal. We know the stakes are high, timelines are tight in Texas foreclosures, and emotions are real, so we show up grounded, informed, and ready to act.
What we’re especially proud of:
Building a brand that’s known for real solutions, not gimmicks — we don’t oversell, we don’t pressure. We set realistic expectations and work relentlessly to meet them. Helping families during some of life’s most stressful moments — foreclosure, probate, inheritance — and turning them into opportunities for hope and new beginnings.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Leila: One of my favorite childhood memories is growing up with my 3 sisters. The house always felt rowdy. My mom was always cooking the most delicious palestinian meals. We were always outside, on our motor scooter, playing soccer, walking to the nearby stores, visiting neighborhood friends.
Rafael: My favorite child hood memories are traveling to Costa Rica to visit family
