Today we’d like to introduce you to Rashonna Moore.
Hi Rashonna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The Architect of Influence: An Exclusive Feature on Rashonna Moore
From a 15-year-old radio prodigy from the Philippines to a 4x Emmy Award-winning powerhouse, Rashonna Moore has spent 25 years redefining what it means to be a “mediapreneur.” Today, she is the entertainment and corporate industry’s secret weapon—a master strategist who turns brands into icons and celebrities into household names.
The Genesis: A Global Perspective
Long before she was navigating the high-stakes boardrooms of corporate giants or the red carpets of the ABFF and Essence Festival, Rashonna Moore’s story began with a passport. Born on July 15th and raised in the vibrant culture of the Philippines, Rashonna developed an early ear for storytelling and a global worldview that would later become her greatest professional asset.
“Growing up overseas gives you a unique lens,” Moore reflects. “You learn that while cultures differ, the human desire for a compelling story is universal.”
That realization sparked a fire early. At just 15, while most of her peers were navigating high school, Rashonna was already behind the microphone, launching a career in radio that would span decades. Upon moving to the United States, she planted roots in North Carolina and Oklahoma, eventually earning her degrees in Journalism & Communications from the University of Central Oklahoma. This academic foundation, paired with her early professional start, created a rare hybrid of technical skill and raw, intuitive talent.
The Newsroom Legend: 20 Years of Excellence
Rashonna’s resume reads like a directory of media royalty. Over the course of two decades, she became a pillar of journalistic excellence, working with outlets such as iHeart Radio, Tyler Media Group, Bott Radio Network, Citadel, and ClearChannel Radio. Her voice and vision eventually transitioned to the screen, where she became a staple for major networks including ABC, Fox, CW, CBS, and WGN.
Her accolades are not just titles—they are hard-earned trophies. As a 4x Emmy Award-winning journalist and content creator. Rashonna has mastered the art of high-impact content creation & public relations. Whether contributing to magazines like GQ, Self, Shape, Source & People or serving as a correspondent for VH1, BET, MTV, AspireTV, and TVOne, her mission has always been to find the “truth in the trend.”
“I am a journalist by trade,” Moore says. “But at my core, I am a builder. I don’t just report on what’s happening; I look for the ‘why’ behind the brand.”
The Pivot: From Reporter to Powerhouse Publicist
After 20 years in the spotlight, Rashonna recognized a shift in the media landscape. The digital world was bustling, and brands—both corporate and personal—were struggling to stay visible. Drawing from her extensive background as a producer and director for film and television, she pivoted into the realm of public relations, social media, marketing, and branding.
She didn’t just enter the industry; she conquered it. Her reputation for meticulous attention to detail and a “secret weapon” level of strategic vision turned her into a powerhouse celebrity, corporate publicist and PR agency.
The Portfolio: A Who’s Who of Icons
When you look at Rashonna Moore’s client and associate list, you aren’t just looking at a roster; you’re looking at a legacy. Her influence spans the most prestigious names in the world:

The Future of Narrative
Today, Rashonna Moore is more than a publicist; she is a driving force in the film, fashion, and entertainment industries. She manages, books, and builds, ensuring that every piece of content she touches resonates authentically. Her unique ability to weave the branding of a product into a narrative that is both “intriguing and unique” has made her the go-to for hiring the hottest names in the business.
As she navigates the constantly changing digital landscape, Rashonna remains committed to her original purpose: to illuminate. With a strategic vision that exceeds expectations and a track record of 18+ years in content creation, she continues to lead marketing teams in crafting stories that don’t just drive engagement—they leave an indelible mark on history.
“Success isn’t just about being seen,” Moore concludes. “It’s about being remembered. My job is to make sure that when the world looks at a brand, they see a story they can’t forget.”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In a career spanning over 25 years—traversing the shift from analog to digital and the evolution from reporting news to shaping celebrity legacies—the struggles are as diverse as the roles themselves.
Here is a look at the professional and personal hurdles I’ve faced while building a powerhouse reputation.
1. The Journalist: Ethics vs. The “Click”
• The Death of the Newsroom: Witnessing the transition from well-funded, deep-dive investigative journalism to the high-speed, 24-hour digital news cycle where being first often replaced being right.
• Burnout and Compassion Fatigue: Decades of covering tragedies, political unrest, and human suffering began to take a heavy emotional toll, during Covid so a career change was inevitable.
• Credibility Battles: Navigating the rise of “fake news” and social media pundits, which forced us seasoned journalists to constantly defend our objectivity and credentials.
2. The Producer: The Chaos Behind the Camera
• The “Invisible” Labor: As Producers we are the first to arrive and the last to leave. The struggle involves managing massive egos, shrinking budgets, and technical failures, all while ensuring the final product looks effortless.
• Gatekeeping and Bias: For a long time, the production world was a “boys’ club.” Breaking through glass ceilings to earn a seat at the executive table required working twice as hard for half the recognition.
• Crisis Management: Dealing with “act of God” moments—a lead actor falling ill, a location permit being pulled last minute, & a live feed cutting out—where the blame lands squarely on the producer’s shoulders.
3. As a Celebrity Publicist: Managing the Unmanageable
• The 2:00 AM Phone Call: Publicists don’t have “off” hours. The struggle is the constant state of high alert, ready to mitigate a scandal or a leaked photo at a moment’s notice.
• Gatekeeping vs. Access: Balancing the need to protect your client’s privacy while maintaining the media relationships necessary to get that client a cover story. If you’re too protective, the media turns; if you’re too open, the client loses trust.
• Ego Navigation: Working with high-net-worth individuals who may not always want to hear the “no” they desperately need to hear to save their brand.
4. The Marketing & Branding Expert: The Digital Whirlwind
• The Algorithm Chase: Moving from traditional billboards and TV spots to SEO, hashtags, and TikTok algorithms. The constant need to “re-learn” the industry every 18 months to keep clients relevant.
• Quantifying the Intangible: The struggle of proving the ROI (Return on Investment) of a “brand feeling” or “cultural relevance” to corporate boards who only want to see spreadsheets and sales conversions.
• Authenticity vs. Commercialism: Finding the “soul” of a brand in a crowded market where consumers are increasingly cynical and can spot a “fake” narrative from a mile away.
