Today we’d like to introduce you to Robinson Pittet
Hi Robinson, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
At the core of Pittet Architecturals resides the enduring legacy of Raymond Pittet, a trailblazer in the realm of antique carpets, tapestries, and tribal weavings. With over three decades of dedication, he established himself as an esteemed expert in the field. However, his journey evolved seamlessly over the last 30 years, transitioning his passion into European architectural elements. Through global explorations and connections within the Antique and Artisan trades, Raymond curated monthly shipments of historically rich masterworks, enhancing home and garden interiors.
The year 2020 marked a significant turning point as Robinson Pittet, Raymond’s son and a torchbearer of the second generation, assumed the role of Vice President, overseeing day-to-day operations. Rooted in a profound comprehension of architecture and European elements, Robinson brought in a fresh perspective, blending contemporary standards with established methods, while venturing into new territories. The harmonious partnership between father and son remains the cornerstone of our success. Raymond’s dedication to bringing architectural masterpieces to Dallas endures, and retirement remains a distant consideration.
Today, Pittet Architecturals proudly stands as a leading importer of European architectural elements in the United States. Our Dallas showroom, nestled in the vibrant Design District, spans 30,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space. Within this sanctuary where artistry converges with history, a captivating collection awaits — hand-carved antique marble, limestone mantels, fireplace surrounds, antique fountains, garden decor, furniture, antique doors, and entry gates, all bearing the hallmark of excellence.
With exclusive access to some of France’s most esteemed master stone carvers and artisans, Pittet Architecturals serves as Dallas’ sole resource for custom-designed French pieces and the finest reclaimed European stone and oak flooring.
Our team deeply respects the history behind each unique piece in our inventory, leveraging years of experience collaborating with Dallas’ top local design professionals, builders, and landscape architects.
Our showroom is open to guests Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. We’re excited and ready to assist with your upcoming design projects!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As a family-owned business, we’ve certainly encountered our fair share of challenges. Just like any growing business, we’ve faced various hurdles along the way. However, we approach each problem as an opportunity to learn and improve. By addressing issues head-on and learning from our mistakes, we become better equipped to handle similar situations in the future. This proactive approach helps us navigate the inevitable bumps in the road more effectively.
