Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarenity Smith.
Hi Sarenity, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I created Rollin’ Beans Coffee during my senior year of high school. I wanted to create something of my own out of things I enjoyed and I sincerely love coffee, customer service, and baked goods. I knew that I wanted to own a coffee shop and I decided to take a more budget-friendly approach by creating a mobile coffee shop.
I planned to travel to events and find a permanent location for customers to enjoy my lattes regularly. After three months of doing event work, I was offered a very permanent location in Fate. I have been there for nine months now with a consistent flow of regular customers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been always been a smooth road. From equipment malfunctions to set-up locations, we have overcome many difficulties. We have fixed plumbing, electrical, and many other issues on our own. We have worked through supply chain issues, ice storms, flat tires, and more. But, after a year of being operational, I feel like we are finally on a smooth path of creativity and service.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Rollin’ Beans Coffee Company?
I opened Rollin’ Beans at 18 years old after high school. A red coffee trailer set up at a permanent location in Fate open 7 days a week specializes in espresso-based beverages- our most popular being our caramel and lavender lattes. Along with that, we serve house cold brew, lotus energy drinks, tea and bagels, and scones from a local bakery.
We also try to keep fun seasonal specials going all year round, we currently have two delicious Halloween drinks with witch sprinkles and edible glitter. We are set up at a permanent location in Fate open 7 days a week. I am very proud of our customer base and followers, we have built many great relationships with our sweet customers.
What’s next?
We plan to open drive-thru/brick-and-mortar locations in the future along with an expanded breakfast menu. We are very excited to grow and serve locally-made lattes to more communities with space for our customers to sit inside and enjoy.
