Hi Sydney, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
When Covid hit in 2020, I was laid off from being an X-ray tech/ Phlebotomist. After my career being swooped away, I knew I needed to become my own boss, so that wouldn’t happen again. I dived head first into the cleaning world, smack dab in the middle of the pandemic. It was scary but definitely rewarding because cleaning and disinfecting became more of a necessity for people rather than a luxury. I am at where I’m at today with my cleaning business because of the hard work, dedication, and consistency I’ve put into every aspect of my business. Most importantly, I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this if it wasn’t for my kids. My kids are what motivate me to do better and keep pushing. Failing is not an option for me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My dad ran a window cleaning business for over 10 + years in the DFW, he has helped me with great business advice. As for me, my years in the medical field have made it pretty smooth learning how to talk to people and get the best result. With every new endeavor, there will always be learning curbs or setbacks; it’s all about rolling with the punches!

My name is Sydney Gomez; I run a small cleaning business, Done Right Commercial/Residential Cleaning & Construction Clean Up. I take pride in what I do. I will go the extra mile for my customers since this is my business, I put in the extra work to satisfy the cleaning needs of my clients. I clean by myself or my team of 3-5, depending on how many workers you need. We specialize in any type of clean. You name it we can do it! Post Construction, Airbnb, Commercial/Residential, Event Clean Up, etc. What sets me apart from other is I really care about my clients, their satisfaction means the world to me, and I’ve made some genuine connections with great people! I just want the readers to know I am here for you! No judgment at all; I’m here for my clients. If they need to tell me about their bad day, I’m gonna listen!
