Exploring Life & Business with Tanya Moreno of Tanya Moreno Realtor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanya Moreno.

Hi Tanya, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started working in Real Estate since college assisting a realtor my mom worked with. I learned a lot when I was young, and my parents always told me I should get my license as well as they had both worked in the industry in other areas at some point. Time passed, and many years as well. After several full-time positions including one working at a Real Estate Broker company, that year I decided to finally finish my courses and get my license. I am now in year 2 of being a Real Estate Agent. I thank my parents for influencing me and teaching me about this industry. My goal is to educate those in the community, young and older about the process of purchasing their first home. Many of my clients are part of the Hispanic community, and I strive to be an educator and guide them to be informed and not misguided. I see real estate as a way to impact others’ lives, I truly love serving and helping others, and in this industry, I can help those around me reach and be the key to their new home. I am forever thankful for my parents for the opportunities and for influencing me to keep going.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Most roads are not smooth when it comes to being an entrepreneur and running your own business, but it is what makes it wonderful how much work you put into it. Even before getting my license in 2022, I had to push myself and make time to finish my courses while doing a full-time job and pursuing my master’s degree. Managing your own time can also be a challenge, so it is very important to stay organized. It can also be hard to be your motivator since you manage your own schedule and workload, but with time, you learn how to have better routines. It can also be a struggle to look around you and want to compare yourself to what others are doing, but the best thing to is be you. Being unique and yourself you’ll find those who want to work, network, and be around you.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Tanya Moreno Realtor?
I am a Bilingual agent serving both DFW and Houston areas. I specialize in working with new homes, seller representation, and first-time home buyers. When I am working with someone, I want them to feel completely comfortable with the process, I will always make time to do one-on-ones to guide my clients. I believe what sets me apart from others is I don’t see what I do as a competition, but I love to support others around me even if we are in the same industry and work in the same areas. I support other organizations and small businesses in my community. I think that is very important to not tear others down but support each other. There is room for so many of us to succeed in this industry and in many more. I truly work on being my genuine self when working with clients the way I will guide you is as if I am working with a close friend/ or family member. As a Latina real estate agent with parents who immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico, I feel I can truly get in my client’s shoes and help them reach a big accomplishment when purchasing a home. I strive to be the guidance that many don’t get when coming to the U.S. when it comes to learning about processes and education. I want others to know that I will be on their side to guide them when they want to learn about the process and ready to purchase or sell their home. I really love working with clients and educating them, and work for them to trust me in this process. I want to be the key to them finding their dream/new home.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I think I have been lucky in some ways to find myself in this field. My parents influenced me to enter this field, and though it has not been easy, I have truly enjoyed it, and it has allowed me to grow in many personal and professional ways. Luck is not enough though one must work hard and push through challenges and barriers to succeed. Though I do feel luck for I have experienced, I do think perseverance is a big factor in reaching your goals, specially in the service industry, while helping others also reach their goals. I know many see being in real estate as a luxury or the luxury world, but it is much more than that, it helping others improve their way of life, helping others reach a dream/goal, educating others in the community, and I can say I am lucky to be able to help others in that way and create an impact for them.
