Back in 2019, I started AccuGeeks with one goal — to make a little extra money on the side doing bookkeeping for small businesses while still working full-time. It was supposed to be something small and manageable, just a supplemental hustle. But, like most things God puts His hands on, it evolved into something much bigger. Fast forward to today, and AccuGeeks has grown into a nationwide bookkeeping and tax firm serving clients all over the U.S. What started as a side gig became the foundation for something far more meaningful — helping entrepreneurs take control of their finances and build sustainable, profitable businesses.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth? Not even close. Entrepreneurship will humble you quick. There were plenty of nights I was working 60-plus hours at my 9-to-5 and then staying up late to handle client work for AccuGeeks. There were seasons I questioned if it was even worth it — juggling family, long hours, and trying to keep a business alive while everyone else was asleep. I made mistakes with pricing, undercharged for my time, and learned the hard way that passion alone doesn’t pay the bills. But those challenges shaped the business. Every setback taught me something about systems, boundaries, and value. Now, AccuGeeks runs on lessons that were earned, not handed to me.

In the bigger picture, I see AccuGeeks expanding into a full ecosystem — from AI-driven tools to a subscription model that empowers both entrepreneurs and tax professionals. We’re scaling nationwide, creating opportunities for collaboration, and opening the door for automation to do what it does best — give people their time and peace of mind back.
