Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey as a fashion designer has been one of relentless passion, creativity, and determination. I started with a deep love for art, history, and storytelling, channeling those influences into my work as a costumer and designer. From the beginning, I was drawn to the elegance of Edwardian fashion and the intricate beauty of Asian aesthetics, blending those inspirations into my creations. After college, I started as an bridal alteration specialist, refining my skills and gaining a deep understanding of garment construction and examine the guts of a bridal gown. Within five years, I worked my way up to become the lead alteration manager, a role that helped me develop the meticulous attention to detail that shapes my designs today.

It wasn’t easy carving out a space for myself in the fashion world. Each stitch I sewed and every pattern I designed carried with it the challenges of standing out in a competitive industry. I spent years refining my craft, dedicating long hours to mastering techniques and discovering ways to merge historical influences with modern design. There were moments of doubt, but my vision always guided me forward.

Creating Truly Tranian Atelier was a pivotal step in my career. I wanted to establish a brand that celebrates individuality and bold storytelling. Each collection begins with an original character designs—an idea that sparks the narrative and aesthetic for the entire line. From sketching their backstories to ensuring their personalities shine through in every detail, I pour myself into crafting a world that is both imaginative and empowering.

My process combines artistry and practicality, balancing gothic elegance, athletic inspiration, and unique textures. I meticulously select materials, ensuring they reflect both the aesthetic and functional needs of the designs. Today, Truly Tranian Atelier embodies my dedication to crafting bold, empowering pieces that resonate deeply with those who wear them.

The challenges I’ve faced along the way—from mastering techniques to carving out a distinct identity—have shaped who I am as an artist and designer. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m excited to continue building new worlds through my work.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
