Hi Wendy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Back in 2017, there was a version of me that felt unfulfilled. Despite having a successful career and being on the path to marriage, I found myself constantly asking, ‘What am I being called to do?’. I had followed the traditional path – graduating college with a Bachelor’s Degree in business, but there was this inkling for more that I just couldn’t escape.
Deep within, there was a stirring, a calling to pursue something greater. I found myself ignoring this desire for more, and it was leading me to the unfulfillment that I felt inside. It got to a point where I couldn’t ignore this calling any longer. So, I took a leap of faith and boarded a plane to South Korea in search of answers and clarity on my purpose.
When I returned, I was armed with a new perspective and a burning determination. I knew I had to take action, but I wasn’t sure where to start. That’s when I launched Lovingly Bold, a blog where I shared my travels, life, and marketing experiences. After two years of trying to find my footing, I went all in on marketing in 2019. This was what my community enjoyed most and what I loved to share knowledge on.
I launched social media marketing packages and 1:1 coaching packages, and since then, I’ve continued to grow, expand, and evolve with my business and services. Marketing brings me such a sense of fulfillment and joy because no two projects are the same. I get to support business owners in capturing their true essences and helping them stand out. This work is impactful to me because I truly believe it’s a ripple effect of impact: great businesses do great things, and the impact is multiplied and amplified.
Now, I’ve had the privilege of supporting over 240+ clients across 10 countries with business and marketing strategies. I’ve helped them get more eyes on their businesses, build trust, and convert more sales. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the world through my work. It’s more than just marketing; it’s about creating a ripple effect of positive impact. And that’s the success I’ve found – the ability to help others succeed while doing what I love.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I never thought I was capable of building a six-figure business, let alone a multi-six-figure one. Growing up as a first-generation Latina, money was always tight in our household. Thriving financially seemed like an impossible dream, something beyond our reach.
My journey wasn’t straightforward. As a first-generation Latina, I faced challenges at every turn. But I persisted, becoming the first in my family to graduate from high school and college—a milestone I wear with immense pride. Now, I am the first to start and run a business.
However, entrepreneurship was a different beast altogether. My relationship with money was complicated. I struggled with self-worth and guilt, charging low prices and playing small, which kept my business stagnant at the beginning. I questioned my worthiness and watched from the sidelines as others achieved the success I yearned for.
But I refused to be defined by my limiting beliefs. I knew I had to shatter these barriers and embrace my worthiness to thrive. It wasn’t easy, but I was determined to rewrite my story.
With unwavering belief in myself and my abilities, I began to make strides. I worked tirelessly, aligning my actions with my newfound beliefs and core values. Slowly but surely, my business began to flourish to what it is now.
