Today we’d like to introduce you to Yesha Patel.
Hi Yesha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started Ethnic Brides by Yesha with the vision of bringing the timeless heritage of Indian jewelry to South Asian communities living overseas—especially in the United States. What began as a passion for preserving our cultural craftsmanship soon evolved into a mission to make these traditional designs accessible to the diaspora. Rather than limiting myself to the local DFW community, I launched an online Etsy store to connect with customers across the country. This digital platform has allowed me to share the beauty and symbolism of Indian bridal and festive jewelry with women everywhere, helping them feel connected to their roots no matter where they are.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges was entering an already saturated market and carving out a distinct identity. With so many options available online, it was difficult to communicate the premium quality and craftsmanship behind our products—especially in an era where consumers are constantly bombarded with content on social media. Building trust and standing out required consistent storytelling, high-quality visuals, and a lot of patience to educate customers on what makes Ethnic Brides by Yesha different.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Ethnic Brides by Yesha is known for its thoughtfully curated, one-of-a-kind jewelry that blends traditional Indian artistry with modern elegance. Each piece is handpicked and crafted to ensure it reflects both quality and individuality. Our collection ranges from delicate everyday sets to elaborate bridal and bridesmaid jewelry—including necklaces, earrings, bangles, and more—featuring rich gemstones like polki, kundan, rubies, emeralds, and moti.
What truly sets us apart is our commitment to premium craftsmanship and the incredible team behind the scenes. From sourcing to final delivery, we work tirelessly to ensure that South Asian communities across the U.S. have access to authentic, elegant Indian jewelry that helps them celebrate their culture with pride.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I consider myself incredibly lucky to have a supportive circle of friends and family who believe in my vision and advocate for my brand—even when I’m not in the room. Their word-of-mouth support has opened unexpected doors and built trust in ways that no marketing campaign could. That said, everything beyond that has been the result of sheer hard work, persistence, and a deep commitment to delivering quality and authenticity.
