Gabrielle Kirven of Dallas, TX on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Gabrielle Kirven and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Gabrielle, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Who are you learning from right now?
Right now I am learning that it’s okay to be still. Everyday is going to be exciting. The small strides will add up, the most important thing to do now is to keep showing up as the best version of yourself. During the still “not so exciting moments” is the time to work towards your goals.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Gabrielle Kirven — a marketing strategist, content creator, and founder of The Curated Agency. I help brands tell their story, build meaningful connections, and grow their presence through creative, strategic campaigns. When I’m not crafting campaigns, you’ll find me mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs, exploring lifestyle trends, or curating experiences that inspire others.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was a creative and didn’t even know it at the time. I was inspired by movies and wanted to be an actress. I would write scripts, music, sing, dance and act when I was younger. I can’t fully remember what year it was but around the 2000’s when Instagram, first came out I definitely hopped on the “Blogger” trend. Getting dressed up taking pictures, but most importantly I had a blog that I would talk about my experiences and things I have learned in hope to inspire and motivate someone.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I will say that first year of entrepreneurship was brutal. I would let my emotions get the best of me and you certainly cannot have feelings involved in business. I was questioning everything that would happen to me, crying over clients, just all the above really. But somehow God allowed me to keep going, he always gave me exactly what I need to sustain to keep pushing, so with that I was like “Well this keeps working out for me, so let me continue to lock in” and now I’ve been an entrepreneur for 5 years now.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I tend to hide the “real me”. The real me is a completely light hearted, very chill and funny. I enjoy laughing, I enjoy not taking things seriously. But on social media since it’s my job, I use my page as a way to attract business, so I have to be serious, can’t repost to many meme’s….you know just the complete opposite of what my true personality is.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I am at home. I truly enjoy my “me-time” maybe a little too much. But I truly believe when they say its the “little things” that matter. The slow mornings, a clean house, nice walk in the park. Honestly just waking up and choosing what you want to do for the day is the best and I enjoy it.
