Heather Gill shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Heather , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
“Suck it up and get over it.”
“You can’t change anything, so just move along.”
These phrases still echo in my memory, shaping the way I viewed myself and my voice from an early age. They trained me to suppress my truth, to believe my words carried no weight in a world dominated by rigid opinions and conformity. My thoughts, feelings, and dreams learned to sit on the sidelines. To go along, to avoid making waves, became second nature.
But not anymore.
The truth has a way of setting us free—but only when we confront it head-on, allowing it to do its deeper work in our hearts and minds. For me, releasing my truth is not just something I’ve chosen; it’s something I feel called to do.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Heather Gill-REALTOR®, coach, author-in-progress, and unapologetic music lover. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with my two sassy Shih Tzus, who think they run the show (they’re not wrong).
With nearly a decade in real estate, I help clients navigate big life transitions—whether that’s buying their first home, investing in property, or selling a home full of memories.
Beyond real estate, my heart’s work is coaching women through their own transitions—divorce, reinvention, midlife awakening, or healing from religious or emotional wounds—transitions I’ve walked through myself.
I believe we’re all here to live in our truth, not just survive. Through 1:1 coaching, group experiences, and my upcoming book, I help women reconnect with their inner clarity and courage—so they can lead lives that feel honest, sovereign, and free.
When I’m not showing homes or guiding transformation, you can find me stargazing, enjoying nature, singing my heart out at karaoke night, or reading a good book.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be
I grew up in a small Oklahoma town, where adventure meant running barefoot through creeks, climbing trees, and chasing fireflies as the sun dipped below the horizon.
There was no social media, no smartphones to pull me away from the joy of curiosity, wonder, and freedom.
But as I got older, the world’s expectations crept in; “Quiet down.” “Calm down.” “Slow down.” Over time, messages like these chipped away at my wild nature. I conformed, swallowing parts of myself to fit in. That silence followed me into adulthood.
Eventually, though, something inside me stirred. I realized how much of that initial spark I wanted back—not to climb the same trees I did as a child, but to scale new heights, gaining perspective, rediscovering myself, and illuminating the path for others along the way.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
True growth often begins in hard places.
A seed doesn’t grow in sunlight—it grows because it’s buried in dark, cold soil. Transformation happens there, invisible to the outside world.
Such is the path of suffering.
Walking through pain teaches us in ways success never can. It plants a deeper kind of knowing within; It taught me things no textbook ever could.
Those setbacks, those trenches, carve out resilience, shaping us into people who embody grace and perseverance.
But suffering also requires choices.
Do we allow bitterness and resentment to take root, stealing our joy and peace? Or do we choose grace, knowing that each challenge refines us into something stronger, more capable, more whole?
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
I know this may be controversial, but I believe Christian nationalism is scary and should be avoided.
Too often, religious institutions resemble businesses built for power and control, rather than places of love and spiritual growth. History warns us of the risks when religion and government become intertwined. What results is less about love and more about dominance. That’s a path we must not walk again.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
Right now, my focus is not so much on “doing” as it is on “being.” I’m moving away from living by others’ expectations and toward living from a place of sovereignty and truth.
My heart is full of dreams, some already taking shape, others just beginning to come into view. My upcoming book, Journey to Your Sacred Heart, is expected to be published in early to mid 2026. Alongside it, I’m building coaching programs to help others reconnect with their truth and live lives of authenticity.
This work is pulling me forward, aligning with my purpose in a way that feels both exciting and deeply grounding. It’s not just my calling. It’s my truth.
