Today we’d like to introduce you to Alesha Trimble
Hi Alesha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began my journey in the wellness industry as a Pilates instructor at BEYOND Pilates in Frisco. I quickly moved into the role of Director of Training for our 3 locations. During my time as a teacher and trainer, I began to notice a huge gap in the wellness industry. Clients know for the most part that they need to move their bodies and eat a balanced diet, but really didn’t practice the concept of holistic wellness, meaning that there are multiple areas of our lives that contribute to complete wellness. These include physical, environmental, spiritual, professional, relationship, nutrition and financial. Often when one of these components is out of balance, we will see it affect other components of wellness as well. For example, if a client is unhappy and unfulfilled in their career, we will see that affect their close relationships, exercise and nutrition habits, and potentially all areas of life.
Wanting to help fill that gap for people, I added certified Wellness Coach to my resume. I take on clients both in-person and virtually, helping them to identify where they are stuck or unfulfilled in their lives. From there, we work to find strategies to accomplish their both short and long-term goals. I have found coaching to be incredibly effective for those going through major life changes such as becoming a new parent, marriage, empty nesting, and menopause in particular.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building a one-on-one business is not for the faint of heart. Patience and time are key and incidentally things I struggle with personally so it has been a time of growth for me as well.
There is some confusion around what wellness coaching is and what I do. Making my mission and duties clear and concise have been important to building my business.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Wellness Collective seeks to empower those ready to take control of their overall wellbeing, while taking a holistic approach. We address all components of wellness to really hone in on what the client feels is lacking in their lives. From there, we work together to determine the full impact on all aspects of their lives. We develop strategies to accomplish change for short and long-term goals. It’s truly a team effort. Every client is seen and heard with no judgement and our sessions are a safe space to explore goals, dreams, and big changes they desire.
Topics we can explore in coaching sessions:
Major life changes- divorce, co-parenting, empty nesting,
becoming a parent, menopause, caring for elderly parents, death of loved ones, professional changes/desires
Establish work-life balance
Plan for maintaining consistency in diet/exercise
Prioritize self-care/stress management
Improve sleep issues and energy deficiencies
Finding motivation/dealing with shame & negative self
talk
Provide strategies for improving relationships
Identify emotional and environmental triggers
Practice setting boundaries and honoring mental &
emotional well-being
Identify obstacles, create actionable plans & provide
accountability for desired outcomes
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Coaching is definitely on the rise. People have a great desire to be fulfilled in all areas of life. It can be challenging to take the first step and coaching is a great jumping board to change. Major life events often trigger people to take a leap to changing their lives and I only predict that to continue
