Hidden Gems: Meet Annalise Orr of Arrowhead Event Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Annalise Orr.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have always loved weddings, events, or any type of party to have a good time. When I was little, I was convinced I would work as a wedding planner and had an entire binder dedicated to it. Into my adult years, I had more “sensible” jobs but always wanted to get back to a party and social type industry. I decided on a mobile bar and began my search. I found Dolly for sale and knew it was perfect for me. I haven’t looked back since!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve been really fortunate that the business itself has been relatively smooth sailing. There are always obstacles in any new endeavor, but so far nothing that I haven’t figured out!

We’ve been impressed with Arrowhead Event Company, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a fully customizable mobile bar at its most simple. We specialize in coffee & alcohol, although we have done many other options: Cotton Candy, Cigars with Whiskey & Ice Cream to name a few. We have all types of add-ons to complete the experience, like a Champagne Wall, Photo Booth, Outdoor games, Popcorn Machine, & furniture rentals. We strive to provide multiple services without the hassle of clients having to deal with multiple deposits and vendors. I walk through your vision and strive to make it as easy as possible.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out.
You won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s okay! Starting out as a small business, hearing “no” or getting ghosted by a client you’ve put so much time into can be really defeating and makes you question if you’re going to succeed. But as you develop a more jobs and more clients, you become more confident in your work, pricing, & ability. It’s not going to be in everyone’s budget, and it won’t be everyone’s desired plan- it is part of it!
