Today we’d like to introduce you to Araceli Quezada.
Hi Araceli, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When people ask me how I got here, I always smile—because Platinum Auto Glass is really
a reflection of our life.
It’s a family-owned business built by me and my husband, Fred. What started as a dream
became something much bigger than auto glass. It became about trust, people, and
showing up when it truly matters.
Fred is a Master Auto Glass Technician with over 24 years of experience, and watching him
work is honestly incredible. He takes pride in every windshield, every calibration, every
detail. Safety isn’t optional for him—it’s personal. He treats every vehicle like it’s carrying
someone he loves, and that level of care shows in everything he does.
I lead the day-to-day operations, customer experience, marketing, and community
outreach. But more than anything, I focus on making sure our customers feel supported.
Auto glass damage can be stressful, and my goal is to make the process clear, honest, and
easy—whether that means walking someone through insurance, explaining OEM versus
aftermarket options, or simply reassuring them they’re in good hands.
We offer a full range of services—from windshield replacements and chip repairs to ADAS
calibrations, side and back glass, mobile service, fleet work, and even classic and vintage
vehicles. But what truly sets Platinum Auto Glass apart isn’t the list of services—it’s how
we deliver them.
We slow down when needed. We explain the process. We never cut corners. We build real
relationships.
Our purpose was forever shaped by our daughter Audrey. She had special needs and taught
our family powerful lessons about patience, resilience, inclusion, and seeing the potential
in every person. Because of her, we don’t just do business differently—we lead differently.
In her honor, we created Audrey’s Butterfly Effect, a mission rooted in the belief that small
acts of kindness can create lasting change. Through this work, Platinum Auto Glass proudly
leads and sponsors Exceptional Student Awards, Special Educator and Paraprofessional
recognitions, Circle of Friends programs, sensory spaces, and inclusive community
initiatives. These recognitions are intentionally done in person whenever possible, allowing
time to truly celebrate, connect, and make people feel seen and valued.
Community service isn’t something we do on the side—it’s woven into our everyday
operations. Our success isn’t measured only by vehicles repaired, but by lives impacted,
relationships built, and moments created.
Today, Platinum Auto Glass stands as a reflection of our family values—faith, service,
excellence, compassion, and inclusion. Audrey’s butterfly effect continues to guide
everything we do, from how we serve our customers to how we show up for our community.
We’re proud of where we started, grateful for how far we’ve come, and committed to
continuing to serve with clear vision and a kind heart.
That’s the Platinum way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not always been smooth, but every challenge has shaped who we are today.
Like many small, family-owned businesses, we faced the early struggles of building trust,
managing growth, and balancing day-to-day operations while wearing many hats. In the
auto glass industry specifically, we navigated fluctuating glass availability, rising material
costs, evolving vehicle technology, and the ongoing need to invest in advanced training and
equipment—especially with the increasing complexity of ADAS and vehicle safety systems.
One of our greatest challenges was continuing to grow the business while experiencing
profound personal loss. Losing our daughter, Audrey, deeply impacted our family. During
that time, we had to find the strength to keep moving forward while honoring her legacy.
That loss changed us—not just as people, but as business owners—and reshaped our
definition of success.
We also learned early on that standing firm in our values can be difficult. Choosing quality
over shortcuts, safety over speed, and integrity over volume sometimes meant turning
away work or educating customers when others did not. However, those decisions built
long-term trust and a reputation we are deeply proud of.
Despite the obstacles, every challenge reinforced our commitment to resilience, faith, and
service. The struggles taught us how to lead with compassion, adapt with intention, and remain grounded in our purpose. Today, those lessons continue to guide us—both in
business and in our dedication to the community.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Platinum Auto Glass?
What I’d really want people to know about Platinum Auto Glass is that behind every repair
is a story—and at the center of ours is family.
Platinum Auto Glass is family-owned and operated by me and my husband, Fred, but it’s
built on much more than auto glass. Fred comes from a family of eleven and grew up with
big responsibilities early on. His journey hasn’t been easy, and nothing about where he is
today was handed to him. He worked his way up through years of hands-on experience,
long days, and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way.
Auto glass isn’t just Fred’s profession—it’s his passion. He takes pride in mastering his
craft, staying current with training, and making sure every vehicle leaves safe and properly
serviced. For him, this business represents the American dream: working hard, building
something meaningful, and providing for the family he loves.
For me, Platinum Auto Glass is about carrying that dedication into how we serve people.
We focus on honesty, education, and care—making sure customers feel supported,
informed, and confident every step of the way. We don’t believe in rushing jobs or treating
people like numbers. We believe in relationships.
Together, Platinum Auto Glass reflects our shared values of integrity, hard work, faith, and
service. It’s not just what we do—it’s who we are, and we’re proud of the road that brought
us here.
What do you do? What do you specialize in / what are you known for?
We’re definitely not your average auto glass company—we truly do it all.
Platinum Auto Glass provides a full range of auto glass services, working on everything from
standard daily drivers to high-end luxury vehicles, commercial fleets, and specialty
projects. Our services include windshield replacement and repair, side and rear glass
replacement, ADAS diagnostics and calibrations, mobile and in-shop service, fleet and
commercial accounts, insurance claim assistance, and recall services.
What really sets us apart is the breadth of vehicles and glass work we handle. We service
Freightliners, fleet trucks, RVs, golf carts, classic and vintage vehicles, and custom glass
projects—including sunroof replacements, window motors and regulators, and headlight
restoration. Whether it’s a luxury vehicle with advanced safety systems or a work truck that
needs to be back on the road quickly and safely, we have the experience, equipment, and
expertise to handle it properly.
We work with both OEM and high-quality aftermarket glass, and we take the time to
educate our customers so they can make informed decisions that are best for their
vehicle—not just the fastest option.
We’re known for precision workmanship, safety-first practices, transparent
communication, and personal service. Customers trust us because we slow down when
needed, never cut corners, and explain the process clearly. Our goal is simple: to do the job
right, keep people safe, and make the experience stress-free from start to finish.
What sets you apart from others?
What truly sets Platinum Auto Glass apart is that we lead with heart as much as skill. Safety
is never rushed, quality is never compromised, and community involvement is not an
afterthought—it’s part of our identity. We prioritize education over pressure, relationships
over transactions, and long-term trust over short-term volume.
We also go beyond industry norms by investing in advanced training and equipment for
modern vehicles, especially as ADAS technology continues to evolve. Our work reflects
manufacturer-recommended procedures and professional standards—never shortcuts.
What are you most proud of, brand wise?
Brand-wise, we are most proud that Platinum Auto Glass represents more than a service—
it represents purpose. Through Audrey’s Butterfly Effect, we honor the legacy of our
daughter by uplifting special education students, educators, and paraprofessionals
through in-person recognitions, awards, sensory spaces, and inclusive community
initiatives. Our brand stands for inclusion, compassion, and showing up for others.
What do you want our readers to know about your brand, offerings, services, etc.?
We want readers to know that when they choose Platinum Auto Glass, they choose quality,
integrity, and impact. They are supporting a local, family-run business that values safety,
transparency, and community. Every vehicle we service and every program we support is
guided by our belief that small acts—done with care—can make a lasting difference.
Our promise is simple: clear vision, kind heart, the Platinum way.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Networking and mentorship can be incredibly impactful, but I’ve learned they work best
when approached with intention and authenticity. I was raised in a family where faith,
service, and strong values were instilled in me by my parents from a young age. Because of
that foundation, I’ve always believed relationships should be built on trust, respect, and
genuine care for others—not just on what you can gain.
Rather than networking with the goal of gaining something, I focus on building real
relationships rooted in shared values. The most meaningful mentors often come naturally
through consistency, service, and showing up with integrity—not through formal
introductions.
What has made the biggest difference for me is staying actively involved as a Rotarian and
Chamber member. These organizations align closely with the values I was raised with and
create spaces where relationships grow over time through service, collaboration, and
commitment to the community. By showing up consistently, volunteering, and participating
beyond just attending events, I’ve been able to form genuine connections that naturally
evolved into mentorships.
I’ve also learned that mentorship doesn’t always come from one person. Some mentors
guide you directly, others lead by example, and many teach powerful lessons through
shared experiences and challenges. Being surrounded by strong leaders in Rotary and the
Chamber has provided insight, encouragement, and accountability at different stages of
my journey.
Another important lesson has been to ask thoughtful questions and truly listen. People are
often willing to share their knowledge when they feel respected and appreciated. Following
up, expressing gratitude, and staying connected beyond a single conversation makes a
meaningful difference.
At the heart of it all, networking works best when it’s rooted in service. When you focus on
how you can support others, celebrate their successes, and give back to the community,
trust is built—and mentorship and opportunities naturally follow.
