Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Snow.
Hi Ashley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I got my esthetic license right out of high school and ended up in corporate America. After years of no break, no holidays, and no time freedom I needed a change. In 2016, I decided to start my own business… I failed miserably and it was the best thing ever! Yeah… I know, what!?! I was forced to close and apprentice under a master lash artist in Dallas and three years later, with $26.18 in my account Lashley Lash LLC. was re-birthed. The hustle was different, the focus was more epic, and my skill level had exceeded itself ten times over. After three successful years in business and surviving a global pandemic, I’ve learned more than I could share in a lifetime. I have the best most supportive clients in the world and am happily mentoring other lash artist on tips and tricks of our trade and business. Recently we have also expanded and have two new Lashley babes to our schedule who are slinging’ lashes and making skin glow. Lashley Lash is looking to expand location-wise in the next three years. In my spare time you can catch me sippin’ hurricanes in New Orleans with my hunk, aggressively loving my dogs, chasing one-armed hugs from my teenager, and studying for my BS from LSU! Lash life is the best life!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
To say that the road has not been smooth is an understatement. Owning a business is a test of mental strength, endurance, and it’s layered with loads of PATIENCE. Patience for your craft, your own skill cultivation, and learning the ins and outs of the business world. Being forced to close and work on my own knowledge and skills was humbling. However, looking back the intelligence to sit back and realize I needed to work on some things and gain more…. more of whatever it was that would make that a possibility was wisdom on wisdom. The hardest month of business is the one you’re in… throw a global pandemic on it and you will see what you’re really made of and how well you’ve truly planned for yourself.
Most importantly things are in the “DO” so you are out of your comfort zone and making mistakes constantly. Rewiring your brain to see this as a great thing is tough!
We’ve been impressed with Lashley Lash LLC., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Lashley Lash LLC. is a luxury custom lash studio that is tailored to the client. We specialize in lashes, advanced aesthetics, lash and brow tinting, and sunless tanning. One of the things that sets us apart is our technique, it’s more natural and complementary to the eye and allows for even volume lashes to look natural. If you want dramatic, we can do it but our specialty is to enhance your natural eye. We do not pride ourselves on how many clients we can see in a day, but the quality of work we turn out and our retention in lashes is what keeps clients coming back! What I am most proud of is that 95% of my clientele is word of mouth. It’s the biggest and best compliment I could receive and strive to better it with every appointment and interaction I have.
Lashley Lash LLC. is not just a lash studio… we love our clients and we want them to leave not only looking better but feeling better too. What are your plans for the future?
We recently just added a new esthetician and a new lash artist who are rockin’ and rollin’! Our next big venture will be a storefront and eventually one to three more locations in the DFW! Long term I would like to expand to Louisiana and possibly further! Right now, we are soaking up internal growth in our humble studio and looking forward to what 2022 has to offer!
