I’ve always been drawn to creating beauty and emotion through design. My first company, Ashley Urban Designs, began from a lifelong passion for transforming spaces and making people feel something the moment they walk into a room. Over the years, I built my interior design business through dedication, creativity, and a deep love for the work. Enchanting Escapes grew from that same passion but in a completely different form. I’m a hopeless romantic at heart, and I’ve always believed in the power of meaningful moments. Designing luxury picnics allows me to create experiences; little worlds filled with intention, intimacy, celebration, and connection. Whether it’s an anniversary, a girls’ gathering, or a child’s birthday, I love crafting settings that feel magical and unforgettable.
My journey hasn’t been easy. I’m a self-taught designer and a mother who built two businesses while pushing through challenges, which pushed me closer to my purpose.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The beauty of Enchanting Escapes is what people see, but the real challenges happen behind the scenes. Luxury picnics require a level of organization, precision, and time management that most people never have to think about. Every item in my inventory such as linens, rugs, florals, pillows, lanterns, décor, and tables; has to be maintained, cleaned, stored properly, and matched with the right color palette for each event. Keeping everything coordinated while tracking aging décor and rotating pieces to keep the brand fresh is a constant responsibility.
My biggest challenge has always been the pressure I put on myself. I’m a perfectionist by nature, and creating beauty comes naturally to me, so I hold myself to a very high standard. I always want every setup to feel magical and memorable for my clients. With that comes the fear of disappointing someone if something unexpected happens, weather, timing, transportation, or last-minute changes. Because I care so deeply, I tend to go above and beyond, which is both one of my strengths and one of my challenges.
Even so, every obstacle has taught me how to create better systems, stay organized, and manage my time more effectively. These behind-the-scenes challenges have shaped the way I run my business and have strengthened the level of quality I bring to every event.

Enchanting Escapes is a luxury picnic and experiential event brand built on the belief that moments should be felt, not just celebrated. What began as a natural extension of my interior design career has grown into a curated service where artistry, romance, and meaningful connection come together through beautifully styled experiences.
We specialize in creating elevated, fully designed picnics for anniversaries, birthdays, proposals, children’s celebrations, family gatherings, and intimate moments of all kinds. Every setup is intentionally crafted with coordinated color palettes, layered textures, curated décor, ambient lighting, signage, and tablescapes that feel both luxurious and personal. Nothing is random, every element is chosen to tell a story.

Running a luxury picnic business means maintaining and organizing a full inventory of linens, rugs, florals, pillows, lanterns, décor, and tables; tracking aging pieces, replacing worn items, coordinating colors, and keeping everything in pristine condition. It’s showing up with intention, staying true to what I love, and building something meaningful through hard work and heart.
To me, success is simple: creating moments that stay with people long after the day has ended, and knowing that the work I do genuinely matters.
