Today we’d like to introduce you to Ayisha Collins
Hi Ayisha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey began with a deep passion for storytelling, which was rooted in my upbringing. I was born in Flint, Michigan, and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where I first learned the power of storytelling through the vibrant cultures and inspiring people around me. Those experiences shaped my creative perspective and planted the seeds for what would later become my career.
I started as a photographer and videographer, capturing everything from celebrity events to corporate projects, always aiming to highlight the resilience and authenticity in my subjects. These experiences not only honed my skills but also deepened my appreciation for the stories that make people unique.
Inspired by this journey, I created Arc Edge Styles, my streetwear brand, to reflect the boldness and individuality I saw in the people I worked with. It was a way to turn creative expression into something wearable and relatable.
That same passion led to the creation of The ARC Spotlight podcast. I wanted to build a platform for everyday people, as well as athletes, celebrities, and entrepreneurs, to share their journeys. It’s a space for authentic conversations about success, resilience, and the lessons learned along the way, designed to inspire anyone chasing their dreams.
From Flint to Atlanta to where I am today, my story has always been about celebrating the art of storytelling and creating platforms for others to share their voices.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road—there have been plenty of challenges along the way. Being born in Flint, Michigan, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, I grew up surrounded by stories of resilience, which shaped how I approach life and creativity.
In my photography and videography career, one of the biggest hurdles was breaking into the industry. From building my portfolio to investing in professional equipment and proving my worth, it wasn’t easy. Learning to juggle the creative side of my work with the business aspects, like managing clients and pricing services, was also a significant challenge.
When I launched Arc Edge Styles, there were steep learning curves, like understanding production, marketing, and building a brand that reflected my vision. Similarly, starting The ARC Spotlight podcast meant diving into an entirely new medium, learning about equipment, editing, and marketing, all while balancing my other responsibilities.
Each step of the journey has tested me, but those struggles have also made me more determined and resourceful. They’ve helped me build platforms, whether it’s my photography, clothing line, or podcast, that celebrate resilience and inspire others to pursue their dreams.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending summer evenings in Atlanta, surrounded by family and the vibrant energy of the city. Those moments were filled with laughter, music, and storytelling—whether it was hearing relatives share their experiences or creating our own stories through games and adventures.
Those early experiences taught me the power of connection and the importance of capturing moments, which later inspired my passion for photography and videography. Looking back, it’s those simple yet meaningful moments that shaped my creative journey and my love for telling stories that resonate with others.
